For those of you having trouble with the doc, here is a pdf of the form. The .doc document is intended to be opened with Microsoft Word and has fields you can fill in and save. If you need to use the pdf, you can fill it out and rescan it or try to create new text layers in Acrobat or Adobe reader...

I've just sent mine in and it also involves buses. One was with a bus depot (single decker), another could be a double decker while the third set suggested was a school bus and playground. With 'destination' stickers and changeable numbers and advertising on the sides this could encourage multiple sales.

My two cent

I am a big LEGO city fan, so I filled out 11 forms. I can't send attachments, however. I will see if I can update my computer, but if not can I just send them to you as text, CopMike?

One of my suggestions is a downhill ski resort. I would absolutely love a downhill ski resort subtheme!

I don't have Office installed, but if someone out there likes these ideas, feel free to submit:

Car lot: small office with or without showroom (rotating dais for display) with 3 or 4 6-stud wide cars, at least one looking vintage, one sporty, one utilitarian (maybe a mini-van type of vehicle), and a pickup truck, with a salesman sporting a too-big cheesy grin, and a prospective buyer fig. Comes on base plate with dealer sign..cheesy slogan or dealer name.

subset 1: Repair shop with wrecker. Modular, can attach to Car lot office.

Subset 2: Car-Transport Lorry(tractor-trailer) cab and trailer are preferably 8 studs wide and can carry approx four 6-stud wide cars; trailer is double decker, with aft section of upper deck raised and lowered by the new Technic friction cylinders. Comes with 1, maybe 2 cars, and driver, of course.

Another idea my wife and I came up with was a strip mall, with a barber shop/salon (all those new hairpieces put to good use..even the Exo-Force hair), ice cream parlor, and a new pizza shop, or an electronics store selling cameras, walkie-talkies, movie cameras, and laptops. Any additional ideas are welcome. City needs some diversity beyond Police and Fire stations.

A Museum would also allow for a great assortment of history-based themes to be thrown all into one. A dinosaur skellie would make a fantastic centerpiece for a set like this, surrounded by exhibits featuring pieces and architectural flavor from all the various historical themes over the years, and maybe some Greek/ Romanesque statuary or columns thrown in. Actually, a set like this, to be done well, would be best released as a Cafe-Corner type set; however, if it makes it into City as a System set, I'll be happy.

Another idea is the Octan Off-shore Drilling Rig, complete with platform and retractable spinning drill, pipe wrench/tools, life vests/preserver, hose sections, hand-rails and ball park lights around the periphery, small heli and heli-pad, shark, swiveling crane to move pallets of oil barrels around. Minifigs include boss fig in open collar shirt with breast pocket(with pen sticking out) and sunglasses, 3 workers with hard hats, oil stained shirts.

subset 1: Oil Freighter using either Coast Guard hull or cargo ship hull, similar to Cargo ship, white Hull with Octan decals, heli-pad behind bridge, cargo deck in front for pallets of barrels. Minifigs include captain, mechanic, deckhand, and pilot.

Subset 2: Oil tanker Lorry 6 stud wide, winchable hose with nozzle, plumbing detail, control panel, ladder on rear of trailer for top access to tanks. Cab has storage box for wrench(s)

Again, I can't post b/c I don't have Office installed on my PC; if any of these sounds good, and you have suggestions or ideas to make them better, please submit them with my blessing.

Hmmmh, how about a concert with The Village People, you could have a cop, a fireman, a construction worker, sailor.... oh wait  thats what we've been getting for Years

lol

I wouldn't mind seeing Minifig Scale Racers come back, but that would probably be a conflict with the current Racer's theme...

Really though I'd feel a lot better paying 5$ for a 4-wide minifig racer than a Tiny Turbo, least itd have a minifig right?

Ah! what about, Air Race? we haven't had any good small airplanes in a while, and this wouldn't conflict the the TT stuff.

a few 10$USD propeller planes? a few sneaky features like the bad guy's plane can drop a net or grapplilng hook?

This also potentially has similar opportunities as Space Port theme, but doesn't conflict so much with MM.

I suggested a Garage theme, it'd be a bit like Racers but more civilian oriented, like street racing.

The new sub-theme TLG should make is obvious...

Classic Town.

This would be a great seller for the 10000s of AFOLs who only like Classic Town sets from 1980s and early 90s. All these eBayers would be tempted back to the fold.

Also, it would be great to see the kids of today decide Classic Town Vs City. Would be great research to TLG.

Classic Town is set in a time between the 1940s and 1950s. There are still cops and robbers, fires to be put out, and people or goods to transport. However, all vehicles and buildings are designed from this classic era. This theme is loaded with antique cars great historic buildings.

A Milk Truck,

A soda shop with a 50's T-bird

And a UCS downtown!

Not these skyscrapers that have been made lately, but small, 1 story shops like a post office, TV and appliance store, a small park, ice cream shop, barber shop (thanx MKyuum  ), etc.

I don't have Office installed, but if someone out there likes these ideas, feel free to submit:

If you could organize your ideas into the same format as the Word document, I'll submit your ideas for you.

Phred, much thanks. I'm actually just glad that someone took a liking to my ideas, let alone willing to send them in. So without further preamble:

Theme 1: Auto Sales- Every town needs someplace to buy wheels, and the same is true in LEGO City. Busy mini-figs are always on the go, so come on down to Oleg's Auto Sales and score that sweet ride you've been dreamin' about!

Set 1: Car Lot: Comes with a single-story office ( desk, chair, computer , maybe a decal of a picture of Oleg the Salesman in all his overly-big smiling glory ) adjoining a small showroom, mostly all windows, of course, with a rotating dais to display the latest in sporty carfare. The building is situated on a baseplate equipped with several stadium lights, a sign, some multicolored banners or flags arranged along the roof of the building. The lot comes with 4 6-stud wide vehicles: a red sporty car; a vintage car ( reddish brown pieces could be used here and there to evoke rusty patches); a mini-van with a sliding or folding door on the side, if possible; and a stepside pickup, two-tone blue with the dark grey fenders. Mini-figs would include Oleg and a female prospective customer (b/c there are too few female figs in City)

Set 2: Car Transport- an 8-wide, 10-15 long lorry with a double decked trailer. The upper deck is hinged in the center and kept in place with this part on either side ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=53586 ). The trailer can fit 4 -5 vehicles and comes with a 6-wide Jeep type vehicle. The set also comes with fire extinguisher, a gas can, tool wheel, walkie talkie. The truck is a cabover type, similar to ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=7900-1 ). Comes with driver and mechanic.

Theme 2: Mini-Mall - Life in LEGO City is hectic; the Mini-Mall is the one-stop-shop for savvy City-zens!

Set 1: The Mini-Mall is comprised of 4 single story modular shops built on 12x12 bases with removeable rooves.:

Quick-Clicks Salon is the perfect place to , erm, exchange that natty hair piece for something more stylish and ..green? Comes with 2 rotating barber chairs that can recline, sinks with indents for mini-fig heads, an assortment of various hair pieces, including the Exo-Force hair, blow-driers or old style bubbles to go over patrons' heads, mirrors(shiny decal), cabinets, tonics, and brushes. Comes with stylist and male and female patrons.

The Ice Cream Shoppe is bisected by a bar approx 10 studs long and 3 studs wide. At one end is a 4-wide counter with a cash register, and the remaining bar is covered by a 6 stud sneeze-guard(windshield). The bar could possibly be made from this piece ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=30150 ) in white, and contain ice cream and popsicle pieces. The shop also has one or two 2x2 round tables and chairs. Comes with Server, maybe a kid mini-fig.

The Pizza Parlor is an update of set# 6350-1 Pizza to Go. Features pizza ovens, pizza spatulas( part# 3900), a small counter with register, a glass door faced fridge for drinks, goblets #33061, and a 4x4 round table( decoed with 1x1 red and white tiles in checkerboard pattern) with chairs, umbrella. Romanesque with arched windows, red, white, and green awning. Comes with chef with mustache.

The Elec-Bricks Shop is the place to get the latest in LEGO gadgetry. Lots of clear display cases. Accessories include 2x #30089 cameras, 1x 30148 movie camera, 2x 62698 laptop, 2x 3692b walkie-talkies, 1x 30304 high tech binoculars, 1x #4360 high tech camera, 1x 30035 scanner, and 1x 4479 metal detector. Vendor fig.

Phred, I know this is a bit wordy, but I wanted to give some details. Abbreviate as needed to fit the document' s format. Thanks again for submitting these for me.

- M'Kyuun
