samurai-turtle Posted October 6, 2014 OK, I got asked a question about what extra features are added for adding someone as a friend on your profile page. And unfortunately I did not have an answer for them (I told them I would have to get back to them for an answer). And I thought it might be a good idea to get a general answer for everyone else to see.

All it does is simply show who you want to associate yourself with on the site.
samurai-turtle Posted October 7, 2014 OK, that is interesting. Not that I doubt you Nevo. But, I would like to hear something from the "site staff".
Rick Posted October 7, 2014 To my knowledge there are no functions that are linked to it.
VBBN Posted October 7, 2014 There is one feature actually- When you go to Quick Navigation->Community->Member Status Updates, you can choose to filter the list to display interactions that your friends have done, whether they post a status or comment on a profile. (Quick Navigation is the small icon next to View New Content button at the top right of the page under the banner.)
Mikuri Posted October 8, 2014 I added a few because I wanted to find them easily. Some people are very talented but post rarely. So in order to avoid missing their creation, I search their contents once in a while to make sure I've seen everything. That's my use of this feature ;)
