LEGO Minecraft display

Recommended Posts

I bought 21128 The Village and have now the set assembled on my desk.

Now am I wondering how I could build it together with other Lego Minecraft sets (I already got the Cave, the Dungeon and The End Portal). The idea is to build the village atop of the others to get 2 levels; The Village on the top with underground structure beneath.

In the future I can complement with the Mine, which also is a model of the underground in the overworld and a crafting box too.

Have you guys seen or build any kind of Minecraft display like this?

Yeah, I'm slowly working away at mine, atm it's pure surface build, plan to give it it's own moc thread when I have a chance to take non fuzzy images

There are not that many pictures of LEGO Minecraft MOCs that I have found. I found a couple here and there. One I saw (lost the link) had two levels with the Mine on the bottom. He had a whole surface from memory with buildings on top.

I am still working on mine. I have all the Minecraft sets (except for Micro scale) so I am struggling to work out which ones are going to be included. I can upload a pic when I have something to add.

I was thinking of doing a 10188 Death Star of open sided mountain at one point....

Anyway I will hunt for that photo I saw.

Here is the thread:

actually that's more or less what i have planned for mine, a surface, subsurface with seperation and the neither at the bottom. but having just 'awoken' and with a small budget, just don't have the collection to do it. but as the purse strings loosen plan to start bulk ordering many more bricks and alot of tiles to slowly build it out to what i've envisioned. maybe even to point might be worth taking it to Brickfet next year.

basically going for something between the image you showed and the one http://www.eurobrick...inecraft +chunk

but i want to retain the play value while still keeping my own buiding style i use in game (as that's how the house started). or least when i'm NOT building into the side of a mountain and making a hidden base (I'm a total piston whore, i admit it)

The stacked levels is an appealing idea. However now I have changed my plans (again) and am going for a more open landscape/world, probably means more bricks, which means more money.... But I do like the stacked/cube/levels approach though and am keen to see other peoples efforts. :)

Maybe it's a fun idea to make a "360 model" to save some bricks in making more levels. You can turn it around now and then on your display area.

You first build the mine taking up about half (or more) of the underside (or ground level). Make the other half the nether.

Then build the surface on top of that. You can use some jumper pieces on the top of the underside chunk to make the surface area modular and switch things up now and then.

I am currently in the process of making a new modular Minecraft moc with all the released sets except for the nether and end sets. Have fun building your minecraft display :)

Well I am going modular but with a 'flat' world use a modular system of 32x32 baseplates. (32x32 fits on shelves to be stored). So I will be trying to build a playable world for the kids (and me) to go travelling around in. I think I need more bricks however. :sceptic:
