Making Mead (mead series II)

Recommended Posts

In Mitgardia,

the popular greating formula "share my mead and meat" is often to be taken literally, especially when you visit Erlingur the beekeeper. Not only do his bees collect the finest honey to be found in all of Mitgardia, he is also know how to rifine this nice product into something even more sought for, the famous Heavenly Mountains Mead (HMM).

Erlingur's mead is of such excellent quality that his best customers travel from all over Historica to pay him a visit at his house and sometimes even in his cellar drafting the fine stuff directly from the barrel.

However, since Erlingur's mead is not only popular with men but also with dwarves and elves, his costumers sometimes run into akward situations ...

so could Erlingur actually help to preserve peace in Mitgardia?

Not much feedback for me today, so thank you two!

I'd say Mitgardians celebrate the Winter Solstice, the festivity Christmas is actually based on!

I really like the cut-away approach you used here  The fireplace is excellent, especially the chimney design

Nice touch with the spider hidden in the attic as well. Great to see you building again :classic:

I like the cutaway technique too, because it's easy to imagine a lot of different structures that could make up what we don't see. Is this just the side of the building where it's built into rock and the rest is a more conventional structure? Is it a hollowed out horn of sheer rock, perhaps originally carved by dwarves? Or maybe it's totally outdoor!

Great build, awesome to see the Mead project continue! Excellent scene, the collapsed building makes a perfect spot for a brewery. Reminds me a lot of a pub I went to while traveling in Hungary. The place was literally a hole in the wall - a bomb had hit the building during WWII and instead of repairing the building, they turned it into a bar.

Anyways, the fire pit/chimney and the wood accents are great touches here. And as always, superb photography!

Interesting take on the dwarven/elven situation, nothing a few pints can't fix, eh? Nice build.

Thanks for the comments guys! It's actually rather funny to see what you all read into this. It is actually meant as a cutaway, but that is mainly due to my most of bricks being stuck in my Thorshaven layout ...

Kabel, I really like this! The cross-section of the house! The chimney is a sweet detail!
