71046 CMF series 26: Space themed!

They do have an internally consistent thought process behind it. When it's representing a baby, like here and the blue one from Series 24 (reused in a set), it has eye gleam and the more cartoony mouth. In the GWP, the idea was to use the baby mould not as a baby but as a micro version of the figures, hence the classic smile print.

Oh I've seen the leaflet pic but couldn't tell there were screwheads. That would make sense.

Like for a lot of people it seems, this series isn't really doing it for me. I suppose it's better than a costume series for instance and I like seeing zany and different ideas (like the UFO head guy, the robot chef, Orion) - but most of them just don't appeal to me personally. I do like the Alien Tourist, and the M-Tron and Ice Planet ones are pretty good, though I think M-Tron needs a little something red on the arms to balance with the detailed legs. Of course I'd like the pink space baby too, but there's nothing else about that figure that I like. They could've at least done a new colour for that bottle, which has still only ever been available in light aqua! Why does the Human Imposter have odd little toe printing? Seems like an unnecessary print.

I have no connection with the source material but I love these very expressive characters you've built.

I could've sworn it was, but actually I have the second Rocket Racer head with the open mouth smile. Are you sure it wasn't just listed earlier on since that head actually released in 2021?

    Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I think you missed my point. What I'm saying is, if the Potions set truly is an interior that can be swapped into another set, will LEGO continue putting out swappable interior sets or drop it after this Potions class? In the 2021-23 Hogwarts we also saw a concept that was never carried further, with the Polyjuice Potion set. That set led many of us to believe we'd see more single-module interior-focussed sets in the new system, but Polyjuice Potion turned out to be the only one, with the rest in the line being mixes of trying to do interior and exterior. So I'm wondering if the Potions class will be a sign of what's to come, or a one-and-done released alongside the Great Hall that it's compatible with.

If the potions set is truly a swap-in module, it will be interesting to see if LEGO continues with the concept for future waves or drops it immediately, kind of like they did with the previous modular iteration. On reflection, the Polyjuice Potion set was more of an add-on to the Chamber of Secrets than a sign of what was to come, given it was the sole interior-only focused set of the whole 2021-23 Hogwarts line. This Potions set could be similar - something to get along with the Great Hall set, and then future sets in this Hogwarts line will all be distinct buildings.

    Question about Harry Potter set

There are five numbered bags, two instruction booklets and a sticker sheet in that set. You can always google a set number and "instructions" and you'll find it on LEGO's site, which will at least show you how many bag numbers there are.

    Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Thanks for sharing! Some cool new tidbits in there: I'm glad they're doing "troll..... in the dungeon!" Even if I wish it was its own set because I have no interest in getting another Great Hall, I'm happy it will exist. New flasks and parts for potions in the Potions set sound cool. Overall a sensible sounding set. The Durmstrang Ship and Beauxbatons Carriage will still surely be one of the most interesting ones to long time collectors, but it's interesting to hear that both models might be on the small size, including just one horse for the carriage. I'm curious to see which ghosts they'll be doing in the Great Hall and the Advent Calendar - I'm sure one will be Nick, but hopefully the other will be new! Also curious to see if they do a new take on Years 1 and 2 Flitwick.

Linking to leaked images is not allowed, thanks. Plus we have no idea how the final thing will compare. It could be similar, or could have changed quite a bit.

Interesting! They should've told the LAN folks that - surely many of them have the big figures.
  15. Agreed. On a quick flip through Bricklink, the previous couple of versions of his Episode I look struck a better balance with the detail and used negative black space to their advantage. This one looks messy. I'm also glad they haven't done that weird smile again, though they'd already done a good serious one for that Clone Wars Season 7 set.
