Truck Trial 6x6

Hello to ewerybody

i would like to present my 6x6 truck build for truck trial race, held by slowenian LUG kocke klub.

The truck is driven by 2 xl motors with all wheel drive and no differentials. I made 2 servo motors for steerin, each on the front and rear axle. All this is powered by one big batery box.

It was build only for fun on the race and not to win on the race. Therefore, such simple construction.

Here are a few pictures taken at the race

9 F for 9 fingers on the tank for kerosene was for me a totaly challenge to build it.I dont have much of these bricks.

An observation, is the body split up into 3 different parts? They seem to move along with the axes of the car. Interesting idea I like it!

As far as I can tell: Yes... It uses two turn tables to connect the three parts. It makes the model extremely adaptive to the terrain, well at least width wise. Length wise it could use some some... :laugh:

First of all. This thing has no instructions. I think the Pictures are clear enough to do Some replica Off this bad thing. Technicaly spoken.

Widht wise is this a perfect solution. Lenght wise is this a nightmare construction. The position of the turntables are too low. So No words about his climbing ower Some higher obstacel. Like a Said. Nightmare. Trust me. Do Not doo this if you donth wonth be desapointed .

I have an idea, could you add linear actuators to connect the axles to allow for lowering the end while trying to take a hill. In this picture:

the front end of the car could be lowered using LA's to help it get over the hill easier.

Then you could use reinforced CV joints to keep the drivetrain connected.

The problem with turn tables could be easily solved by using the small turn tables, I don't believe there would be any disadvantage there from a technical perspective and it would improve ground clearance.

The L motor used to power hypothetical linear actuators could be located under the seats in the cabin, it looks like there is some space there.

I am not actually asking you to build the truck as I said, I am just offering my thoughts on improvement.

So, as I am starting to build my own similar vehicle, I love the good documenting.

But I have one question. I see your steering racks are connected directly (structurally) to the wheel portals. Does this mean the rack moves forward and back? If it does check out the pictures of my build, hopefully I will post them today.

BTW I am saying this as an improvement for any future builds, not this one.

Yes. This steering setup moves the rack forward and back. Not much but yes. Must try yourself for the best understanding.

The central axle was a bit of a guess not having photos from another angle , so I used my imagination a little bit. But it was a very enjoyable build
