Mr Spielbrick Posted February 18, 2012 Hello! For years, I've dreamt about making a stop-motion Doctor Who fan film. My girlfriend, a fellow Whovian, told me to get on with it already. So that's what I'm doing! The story is completed, the characters 'built' and we're working on the sets. Over the next months, we'll regularly send updates out there to anyone who'll listen. On this forum, on our blog and on Twitter. The first episode shall be The Invincible Knight. The Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves in medieval times. In a small town, people have disappeared and there are rumours of an invincible knight, hiding in the forest... If this post caught your eye, please feel free to follow us in any way you like! Our blog can be found at http://spielbrickfilms.wordpress.com and our Twitter name is @spielbrickfilms I'll leave you with the first (admittedly grainy) snapshot of the good Doctor himself: The Doctor by Spielbrick Films, on Flickr Thanks for reading! Mr Spielbrick Posted February 23, 2012 Thanks, darkdragon! The first more or less 'moving' test footage: Please feel free to comment. (So far, we're happy with the visual effects, but the sound isn't perfect yet.)
starwarsfanatic Posted February 26, 2012 Looking good. How long is this film expected to be, because it usually takes a LONG time to complete a brickfilm.
Darkdragon Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) The first more or less 'moving' test footage Looking good. Sound is pretty good, I think the effect is a little fast though. In the show it takes quite a bit longer to materialize so maybe double the amount of frames you have here? Also just be careful with your sound as it is all copyright protected and it would suck if you were told to remove your film/tests and/or sued.
