VIDEO Review: 70411 Treasure Island - AWESOME!

Can that piece the chain passes through really support the weight of the skull without falling off when you try to raise it by moving the tree back? Seems a bit flimsy.

Yes, the chain really suppport the weight of the skull. Lego done it well. I was also surprised!

I'm sorry, perhaps I worded that poorly. I mean that "handle" piece that the chain passes through. It seems like it would pop right off if enough weight was put on it. There's a lot of bricks in the skull.

This is a very informative and entertaining review!

You've managed to present the set and communicate all the key information so succinctly. The production values are topnotch - I must say I'm impressed!

I'll be sure to checkout more of these reviews when time permits.

I built mine yesterday (together with the shipwreck defense). I liked it so much that I went to buy both soldier sets today... now I am kinda out of money (unplanned).

I am even thinking about buying the brick bounty - probably during summer time, need to save up some money now... no more sets for :(

I must say, it's the first time I've ever seen a set being reviewed this way.

It's a really clever, funny video and well executed. I really like it :)

Well done! I'm looking forward to more videos like this!

I can't help but echo the sentiments of those that have posted already: excellent video capturing the main features of the set in a concise yet informative manner. Top notch work, hope there's more on the way.

Nice, professional looking, fun review. Much better then most vid-reviews with terrible voice overs and shaky camera work,

Heck, I'm tempted to buy an Island set just on the strength of this review.

Professional indeed. This whole series of reviews is just about perfect. They're very smooth and don't spend a lot of time on unneccesary stuff - just the basics. Excellent presentation.

That is an incredible review. It almost felt like I was building the set myself. Great LEGO set too.

Very good way to make a review ! I love it !

Despite the lack of a monkey, this set is, IMO, the best set of the recent Pirate line, you did a great job animating it for the review, what an amazing job !

This is arguably the best set of the 2015-line. The design is very clever and smart, they managed to make it bulky and stable without a baseplate, and the skull is an old idea, revamped and put to good use here. There are some nifty little details, like the Banana-Three, the openable skull and the small door on the back.

There are quite a lot of accessories with this one; You get a cannon, a map, a parrot, an alligator, pirate flag, small swivel gun, some plant pieces, chains, fire and quite a lot of guns. However, I'm not sure, but in Shipwreck Defense you get 2 muskets, 3 small guns and some swords, but in this one you only get 1 musket, and (I think), 2 blunderbusses, which is a bit of a letdown, consider this is a bigger set and with more minifigures. But apart from that, this is a brilliant set and a good example of how to combine play elements with design.

I just got this set, and this is such an awesome video that shows what you get in the box.
