Hola !

This is my entry for the CCC.

Captain's Daughter's Cabin

3358980433_0b0e2db64a.jpg

This is the cabin of the Captain's daughter. And everybody knows that !!!

She is rather nice, and she is the only woman aboard. So, she draws a little attention of the crew...

And just because you are lucky, here is a little video in action !

Yes, there is some action in this MOC ! :pir-wink:

If you have advices or tips, you're welcome !

Hope you'll like it !

I really like this, this seems to be a very good entry!

Things I like:

The idea! I really like it and it's quite funny too.

The cabin itself is packed with details, the more the better but keep it realistic. You've done it perfect.

Your photoshop skill! This has turned out fantastic but it isn't completely finished.

Things which might be improved:

The open spaces in the cabin's walls. It is less cozy now since there are huge gaps in there. Remember that a cabin doesn't need to be completely brown. :pir-wink:

I can't see the thing behind the female, I think it's a bed and it looks very interesting.

You said the woman is a nice and pretty one...but womans with one leg aren't my type. :pir-laugh:

Good luck on the contest!

Now that's a good entry! :pir-grin:

The idea is hilarious, especially with all of the pirates poking their heads around the corner and from the barrel. I also think you did a very good job with the floor, mixing some different colors of brown was smart.

Your hat stand is beautiful and is a great detail as well.

A few preliminary ideas for improvement:

1) The gaps in the corners of the walls might look better filled.

2) A bed would be a nice addition.

========================================================

That's about it for now. I look forward to seeing your "surprise", and I think your entry stands an excellent chance.

EDIT: Cap'n Blackmoor, I think that's more like a make-up bench or whatever it's called rather than a bed, but I might be wrong.

Great work and good luck! :pir-classic:

Nice moc idea, with the captains daughter being the only woman on board.

Possible improvement points:

1. I'm not too fond of the barrels and palmtree pieces being used in the wall (because of the gaps they create in the wall), the "log" pieces would work better in my opinion.

Good points:

1. All the pirates peeking in, great idea :pir-classic: .

2. It is just filled with nice stuff, accesoires etc., there are no "boring" sections in this moc.

3. Despite being primarily brown, the use of different textures and different shades of brown really livens up this moc.

Its really funny and well built. Some possible improvements would be to ditch the peg leg, thats all I can think of. Great work.

I love this. Really well built, but most importantly I got a great laugh out of it. Poor Captain's Daughter, alone with all that riffraff at sea. :pir_laugh2:

I foresee her getting naked! this is the surprise we await yes?

Those Pirate rats are sneaking around for something more than her writing letters!

Wait what is this I behold! :pir-tongue:

imgp8097___800x600.jpg

Hmm Nice Pixel-ation there!!

Improvements

Use a white background when taking photos, I can still see the green base plate in the reflection off the bricks.

As stated already fill in the "gaps"

I would like to see a wardrobe or a hammock introduced.

What I liked

Humorous back story

Good assortment of bric a brac

The hat stand

The resourceful use of bricks in the wall.

Wow hilarious MOC!

The good: (Most of which have been stated.)

Tons of detail

Funny

The lamp, chair thing and dummy are very nicely built

Good texturing

The needs improvements:

(As said) Fill in the gaps, maybe you could use brown crates stacked as walls...

More constant coloring (example: the black on the floor attaching her to the floor, around the door, and on the tops of the window.)

Ceiling?

Window pane and details out the window

Puriri

EDIT: Wow saw the movie of this on flickr, awesome job on it being motorized! So cool.

When I first saw this MOC I laughed for a few seconds.

Things very good: Very funny details! Great background for the cabin  and there are also lots of details

Things I don't like: The cabin looks too open and should have walls one all sides

This is basically a very nice MOC  Great job

This looks like a good MOC, It has a good chance of winning

THINGS I LIKE

1. The faces on the "Peeping Toms" are well suited for this MOC

2. The hat rack and the bed are very well done.

3. The floor looks as though it is made of timber with the use of those pieces.

POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS

1. The cabin is too open, in reality it would be a whole lot smaller than this, maybe you could scale it down or fill it up.

2. The far right corner is a little bare, maybe you could add a table or something.

3. The fact that every thing is brown makes me feel a little sick of brown, maybe using some alternative colors such as white or black.

GOOD LUCK :pir-wink:

Looks good and funny to me, this time I cannot participate into the creative critic contest, so I am leaving the constructive critic to others.

That video is fantastic. So clever!

The poor, dizzy girl. If any of those pirates got too close she'd puke on 'em anyway. Not so romantic.

Lovely and the new pics look great too!

Opinion

This is a very nice little entry you have got here 74louloute. To start off, the background for your MOC in your first picture really fits your MOC well. My favorite part about your MOC is the two pirates in the little row boat, peeking in on the captain's daughter. The floor is also very nicely done, along with the walls. The walls and floors look very nice because you used certain pieces that look like wood, which is great! I especially like how you made the seat for her desk. Using skeleton legs for the chair posts is very nice thinking.

Possible Improvements

1) I would put some gold coins scattered on the ground or you could possibly put a mouse on the ground instead.

Overall- I can tell that you have put a lot of effort into building your MOC and it has paid off. Including that video is also pretty cool. Is your MOC run by electricity? Great Job!

I wish you the best of luck!

That's a nice and funny moc.

Although it will be a risky game for the pirates when the Captain's Daughter cought them red handed.

I think she is good with a sword. :pir_laugh2:

The functions you put into the video should make you win. Just perfect.

Thanks a lot !

I got the idea when I made the MOC, to add a little bit of animation in my entry :pir-tongue:

Thank you ! I forgot to mention the music in the video. it's a french group called Soldat Louis, and the song is "Du Rhum, des femmes" (Rhum and Women ). Really piratistic isn't it ? :pir-grin:

LegoKing

Yes the MOC is runned by electricity. I didn't want to make too much complicated gears and reduction ratio, so I put 3 motors for 4 movements. The whole thing is controlled by a Mindstorms brick

That's a nice and funny moc.

Although it will be a risky game for the pirates when the Captain's Daughter cought them red handed.

Thanks !

Yes the one in the barrel took so much risks to spy !
