Ratshot Posted March 8, 2009 Wow you have some nice sails there, I like the one on the bottom best, anyway I hope that they turn out good. Cheers Broadside
Captain Blackmoor Posted March 8, 2009 This looks very promising, I like the second sail the most, beautiful symbol. The skull in the first one looks a bit too 'modern' in my opinion. Your ships look cool too, the rigging is very well done. Much better then what I make on my small ships. Can't wait to see those sails on those vessels! Logbo Posted March 9, 2009 Thanks for the encouraging replies, about to print out transfers now. Got the girl to get me an Iron today. LOL i went searching for it the other night to be told it was always our flatmates that had irons not us! Pics to come :D

Logbo Posted March 9, 2009 Wow, now this be some frontpage quality stuff! Great job mayey! the raft was done just to see what it would look like. and i stuffed up the sizes on the main pirate sail :( but as a first attempt im rather happy. getting the Imperial amarda ship in the next couple of weeks and going to redesing the sails on that based on the small red coats sail you see above. i wish lego made more blue center bases for the IA based ship so i could make a flag ship supported by a couple of frigates. Looking at keeping the models together based on original designs and making a new Fleet feel similar to my exo armies. Thats my one disappointment of the 2009 line up. only really 1 boat. so there isnt much playability between all the sets.
Captain Blackmoor Posted March 9, 2009 This looks really cool, your plans turned out well! The red striped sail for the imperial ship is still my favorite. The edges on the black striped sail are still white, are you going to change something to that? Great work!

Natman8000 Posted March 10, 2009 I really like how the raft turned out. It looks almost authentic! I cant say I'm so fond of the black one, it is a bit too modern for pirate ships.
Logbo Posted March 10, 2009 pirate one is getting a make over. I myself am disappointed with it to. I thought the air brushing effect would look cool. but yeah, it will be changed. I am working on replacing the sails for the imperial armada ship at the moment. If prototyped up a flag to see what people think Flag
Captain Zuloo Posted March 10, 2009 I'm really liking your work Logbo! This flag looks very nice, I would like to see one in red though. What program are you using for these masterpieces?

Captain Blackmoor Posted March 11, 2009 This is wonderful! I can draw flags on MS Paint and so on, but I have no idea how to 'iron' them. You are absolutely doing a magnificient job on this!

Captain Blackmoor Posted March 11, 2009 A turtorial about ironing would be great. The sails aren't the main problem, I have the materials and inspiration.
