Lego pirate stories

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am an avid pirate lego collector and now I am hoping to get my kid into them too!

Just a question, does anyone else come up with story ideas for their kids involving Lego Pirates. I am thinking of starting a thread in here with a 'build as we go' story. Starting with an intro and allowing members to add to the story as we go.

Would this be a project anyone else would be interested in?

I think kids usually come up with good stories themselves : P They have the best imagination.

Look at the thread about Brethren of the Brick Seas. It's a discussion about a roleplaying project that might start here in a few weeks or months. It might be a bit advanced for young kids, but you will be able to make stories there (within the frame of the game).

Cheers for the reply, I'll take a look at that that thread.

One thing I also enjoy was reading the short descriptions of characters on the lego page.

Edit

I am thinking of writing a series of biographies for each main character within the Pirates Theme.

Including, Woodhouse, Broadside, Redbeard, Black Jack Hawkins, Flashfork, Rumney, Will, Brickbeard, De Martinet, and others.

I had merged you're double post. Feel free to use the edit post option if you'd like to add content to a post you made earlier that day and no one had responded. Thanks.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to expand on these characters in Brethren of the Brick Seas with our own ideas.

utilizing some of these characters. It has multiple endings for each scene, but it provides some good ideas, like a green gator being Redbeard's "dog".

The comics section of the Master Index may provide additional inspiration.

If you do, you have to regard the audiodramas from Lego Pirates. They where only released in German language, but somewhere here are the "cassettes" translated, so you could read the stories. I f you would do´not regard them you would create only a parallel universe.

There are a couple of old threads that might be useful for this topic:

This is the thread about audio dramas that Matthias mentioned.

Since you were also interested in making bios for characters this thread might also be interesting, since it almost has that for many, many LEGO Pirates characters.

There are also several more official sources that can be found on the net, like comics, or old magazine scans:

The sites have some interesting things.

There are more things out there, but I’m sure there are also other member who could help. TalonCard is an expert at this.
