The reason I built this was beacause once a long time ago my dad said after seeing a space set he bought me, that Lego should make sets that were small and came with a bunch of crazy alien heads. When thinking of ideas for battlepacks I realized that his idea from a long time ago was impractical at the time where cost was involved but could be possible today with our better molds. I always loved Mos Eisley and all the wierd aliens so this was an easy idea to come up with. Originally this was goning to be a cantina battle pack but I was afraid of it turning out like this set 4501 so I went with this. The pictures don't give it justice but I could'nt upload my other photos because i went right to my photo limit.

Thank you and happy voting.

Great idea. There's not enough non-battle/conflict oriented Star Wars set. All those alien heads will be great. I like the moisture farmer and his speeder. Not so sure about the black colour scheme since that is not exactly a great desert colour.

Interesting... the minifigs are amazing! (Did you do them yourself?), And the speeder isn't all too blocky for it's size! Good job.

Thank you so much for the comments

Fumoffu I do wholeheartedly agree that there is'nt a lot of "Battle" in this battle pack but that was part of the idea. I think that battlepacks should'nt just have troops in it but also have civilians or "background" characters, because when we all make a starwars scene like Mos Eisley, Coruscant, Bespin, and Jabba's palace the background characters are vital. The landspeeder is black on the account it's based off the Uncle Owen's Landspeeder called the Lars' landspeeder in this diagram.

Darth Legolas to answer you're question I made the Ithorian's head but not the bith. The bith was made by an ebay seller that's name I do not know, but they went out of buisness so if they see this I give them credit for it.

Lovely entry for the contest. I would probably buy this if it was in a store because the aliens look brilliant and they all have cool guns.

By the way did you use GIMP or something else for the entry?

Yes I used gimp, good eye because photoshop is just to expensive when I can use something like gimp. Does anyone know by the way, why my photos now have to be downloaded because last night they just showed up on this page?

  • Custom minifigs and accessories allowed (Brickforge, Brickarms and so forth).
  • No clone brand parts (megablocks, blocko and so forth).
  • No baseplates (or large parts like BURP).
  • S@H-like Description (check the descriptions on shop.lego.com for inspiration).
  • Own motivation for creating set (why these figs and accessories?).
  • Max 5 pictures from different angles - One of which should be a box diplay/image.
  • Please include a link to off-site folder with more pics or higher resolution pictures (optional).
  • Max picture resolution is 800x600.

  • 'Real' entries only - no digital entries.
  • Entry has to be a new MOC.

Nice entry Forresto.

Best of luck when it's time to vote.

Great idea for a battle pack! I like your custom characters (though your bounty hunter does look a lot like Greedo) and you've got some great little touches in there: the Bith's musical instrument, the nicely detailed vaporator...

Great idea. There's not enough non-battle/conflict oriented Star Wars set.

I think that's exactly what Fumoffu was saying :sweet:

Good luck in the competition!

That's an awesome entry, Forresto! :oh:

I really  it!

I indeed can't imagine TLG releasing this one since it's more kind of a small set than a BP.

Nevertheless the composition of the different contents - minifigs, small vehicle and additional stuff - is great!

I mainly like the Ithorian - great head"mold"!

Very, very well done! :thumbup::thumbup:

Neat! I have to say my favorite bit is the instrument, it would make a great saxaphone if painted gold.

Is that a Steely Dan reference?
