Wip Moc ship of the line

Recommended Posts

So I have almost completed my second ship of the line. A 64 gun ship. I have collaborated with Captain Greenhair, and I have used his tumblehome technique and his stern building techniques. I did however changed it in many ways to make it my own. I have not finished this ship, but I am close to being done with it. I sacrificed hms knight for the construction of this new ship. I love the tumblehome effect, and I plan on rebuilding all my ships, except the 106 gun ship, using the tumblehome technique. So thanks to Captain Greenhair for letting me use his techniques.

Here is some teasers pic.

Thank you. Front page you say.... I have to work on getting a better camera. I am actually away from my lego at the moment.. Actually Im not even in my country right now, But when I get to it will take better pics.... I have a few more teaser pics that I took when I completed the hull.I took the photos with a sidekick Xd camera, so they are low quality pics. Ill post them when I resize them.

Thanks for all the comments.

That is looking awesome HMS!

It looks rather finished though, so what's to be done before it's finished?

And is that behemoth on the background the Soleil Royal?

Thanks for the comment. I want to change the rigging and use rope and not the lego ratlines. And I want to make better sails for it.

And yes that is the Soleil Royal. Well a mix between The Soleil Royal and the Sovereign of the Seas. I think it has been discussed on this site before.

heres a link to her.

Collaborated with me? Then what is that bloody red flag doing on the stern? :pir-tongue:

I can see this ship is coming out really nice, if you have any questions on techniques don't hesitate to ask :pir-wink:

Oh I forgot you advised me to take the red flag off. It will be blue when I officially post the finish ship, I assure you! Thanks for all your help!

Hi mister HMS243,

that looks like a mighty fine vessal.

64 guns, Pirates be ware! :pir-tongue:

How many midsections have you used for this ship?

Are there pictures of the interior and the stern as well? :pir-classic:

I think the tumbling home effect came out nicely.

Frontpage material :pir-oh: well done! :pir-classic:

That will surely attract additional attention to the pirates forum. :pir-wink:

Keep up the nice MOCs!

Kind regards,

Teddy

What is this "tumblehome" technique you are taking about? Is there a book or website that would explain it?

Chech right here :pir-wink:

Nice vessel, it must have taken you a long time. She lives up to her sister image of the la Mort Royale. Good job!

As mentioned though, try to take better pictures :pir-sceptic:
