SilentWolf Posted February 11, 2016 On the journey back from the new island, Micah and his crew put the "Flying Colt" in at New Terrelli. While in port, they saw a beautiful cutter that had for sale flyers posted.The partners convened together and decided to use some of the gold they had discovered to purchase this vessel. It would raise less questions to spend the money as merchants in Eslandola then back in Arlinsport. They sent the "Flying Colt" on without them on a trade mission under the escort of the Eslandolan "Queen of Terelli". Unbeknownst to them, the "Flying Colt" was almost seized by privateers. However, the "Queen of Terelli" rescued them. After spending a week repainting and fitting the cutter, Micah and the partners set off with a few new sailors back to Arlinsport. The ship was rechristened the "Alexander" after Micah's father whose business and protection they were sailing under. The "Alexander" proved to be a fast vessel and got them to Arlinsport in superb time. This is my third free build this month so please let me know if you approve. I like that you show some of the hold, account for the ship's boat, and have attempted to add tumblehome to the sides. Tezclatipoca Posted February 11, 2016 That's a nice ship ! Good rigging but you could add a second forestay sail as it is most what we can see in cutters. I would suggest to use some brickbuilt cannons too because TLG ones seem a bit too big for such a fast little ship IMO. Anyway it's a fine cutter, I approve. Captain Dee Posted February 12, 2016 Nice cutter. The overall shape is good although taller slopes would improve the look of the tumblehome where it meets the bow and stern. The rigging is pretty good; as previously suggested another jib would be nice. I also think the mast could be moved forward just a little. The row boat has always been an issue with me on TLC ships as they never have a place to attach them. My last one also skipped it so I was determined to find a good way to include it this time. I definitely need to use taller slopes on the next ship as per everyone's much appreciated advice. I am looking forward to seeing how it works out with my next planned ship. Thanks for the approval.
