legoman666 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) A couple of folks from my Lug were invited by the Museum Center in Cincinnati (the one that looks like the hall of justice) to do a small display in the space after Nathan Sawaya's Art of the Brick exhibit. So we built it and got it all set up, only to have Nathan tell the museum to take it down because it competed with his exhibit. He literally had them put a tarp over it during the exhibits premiere. The museum felt terrible about it and so invited us to be part of their annual Christmas train show instead. So anyway, Sawaya is a douche, and our display was moved to the Holiday Junction display, where it'll probably have a better home anyway. Come see it. xboxtravis7992 Posted November 12, 2015 Hmm. Strange to hear about such a well known Lego artist acting so stand-offish. But who knows, maybe "Artists" think themselves to be above AFOLs? Come to think of it, the only Professional Lego Artist I can think of that brushes shoulders with the fan community is Sean Kenny, the rest seem to be a bit distant. Umbra-Manis Posted November 13, 2015 Wow. Would not expect such rude behavior from a LCP.
dr_spock Posted November 14, 2015 Did he have an exclusivity contract with the museum?
