It turns out it's illegal to show toy sets that require construction assembling without showing a pair of hands(scroll down to the bottom). It's surprisingly poor animation, even for back then. LEGO was capable of some very high quality animation for commercials. There was an even better example, that I can't find, but here's an example of what they could do: It's from a screensaver, and the entire file is about 1MB. It was probably created in response to a lawsuit because someone bought a set and it didn't magically build itself. I'm not joking. Ever read any of the negative reviews on Amazon?
