Hello, and welcome back to Interactive Apocalypse! :pir-skull:

p1250653.jpg

If you are not familiar with this engaging interactive moc storyline, here is a massive but exciting lot of background to look up:

The Introduction

Part 1 - Safe Season

Part 1.5 - Strangers

Part 2 - Surviving

Part 2.5 - The Deadzone

Part 3 - Mistakes

Part 3.5 - Captured

Part 4 - Where Loyalties Lie

Part 4.5 - Xenu's Sea Fortress

Part 5 - The Battle

Part 6 - The Prison

Part 7 - The Ambush

First of all fans of IA I am sincerely sorry for taking this long to post this. There are many reasons for this, laziness, being busy and photography troubles, but it is finally here.

Last time you had been saved by mysterious attackers. You chose to approach them and take Sheckles the crazy old man with you. You were in luck, Sondra (your long lost girfriend) was behind your escape, but a shock greets you:

p1250670.jpg

Yes, that's right, Sondra is the cyborg with missing arm and cybernetic chest!

It seems following the battle many of your friends were severely injured and recieved implants from Ian Ded, technological genius. This sight no doubt shocked you, but even more the ones missing from the group. Here are the survivors:

p1250673.jpg

Sparks is the only one unchanged, still sarcastically comforting as always. But Captain McCoy and Piranha are both no longer who they used to be. Once the light hearted crew members now the Captain is as alien and detached to you as his robotic face, and Piranha is a being full of rage at having to abandon his water home. Ian Ded has given himself an upgrade also.

Strangers greet you as well:

p1250674.jpg

It seems in order to survive Xenu's former team is now leaded by Sondra, who kept her fighting spirit. She made a truce with The Brotherhood, a ragtag group of survivors who had survived (duh) The Swarm and became fierce enemies of Dragonator. Not a whole lot is known of them, but they were once a large group who led by a mysterious man close to Dragonator betrayed and tried to overthrow him. Obviously they failed.

You are glad to be back however, as though your friends are now faded memories of what they are now, they are still friends. All are glad to see you, especially Sondra, though she is finding it extremely difficult to be around you now that you are back. Of course, you must commend the team on the spot they chose for their base:

p1250568.jpg

In perfect position to evade both The Swarm and Dragonator, the ship of the desert also provides the perfect defense against oncoming threat:

p1250579.jpg

When the oceans dried up after The Cataclysm that created this wasteland, this ship became one of its relics:

p1250582.jpg

Of course with so little space one must sleep wherever one drops, or in the "car":

p1250594.jpg

Sondra and the Brotherhood leader discuss plans against Dragonator's expanding empire:

p1250603.jpg

The most vulnerable part of the ship is the stern, where oil and explosives preside:

p1250609.jpg

A catapult is also part of the weapons, you'll notice the chain from it attaches to a lever near Sparks. It hurls energy charges to both kill and knock out electrical systems:

p1250630.jpg

See in the background I've moved the lever? Believe it or not, but it actually works very well!

p1250634.jpg

Fortunately a monkey lightens the mood for you:

p1250610.jpg

This towertop gunner can aim in all directions incase another gun can't, its position serves as a Crows Nest to see trouble early as well:

p1250613.jpg

Four massive cannons protect the side more likely to be attacked. The shells are enough to halt even another Death Roller maybe:

p1250595.jpg

Protective gates open and guns out ready:

p1250623.jpg

Another shot of the powerful weapons.

Inside the bay is many crates of ammunitions, shells and grenades:

p1250622.jpg

Of course four mini cannons protect the other side with explosive shells:

p1250635.jpg

Another shot of the smaller cannons.

The tower at the back has been crudely recreated as the heart of operations:

p1250636.jpg

A Dragonator spy who gave an outpost's location away is held captive atop, ready to be feasted upon by birds of prey:

p1250650.jpg

The upper story is accessed by the ladder here:

p1250657.jpg

The back of the behemoth. A flamethrower sits here, as well as you still in your prison clothes. The other ladder leads to the jail "cell":

p1250664.jpg

Another cool shot of the rear. And another as well.

Shots of the beauty without crew:

p1250726.jpg

p1250729.jpg

p1250738.jpg

And just for you Dragonator, while not bing or my best, I thought you might appreciate some little critters to pick the flesh off the soon-to-be-dead spy:

p1250678.jpg

Aptly, they are called Vultures:

p1250679.jpg

Not in luck my friend, not in luck at all....

Now, you've only stayed a while and gotten used to the company of strangers and changed friends. However, you of all people know that here this hellhole works is always to be done. The information from the spy you captured has provoked interest, and the Brotherhood friends are planning to infiltrate an outpost he has revealed and take some secrets among other things from it. You know Dragonator well after being with him once, should you assist?

Also, Sheckles has recognised the map on the ship's deck, and claims the he knows a location of a treasure Dragonstor wishes to seek. Whatever he did to the dictator to lead to his imprisonment must be big, so should you take his word for it and search for this important "treasure"?

Your friends, chiefly McCoy, is planning on taking a trek to the mountains to look for more materials and survivors. Go with him?

So many options and so many people to talk too, your two years of loneliness have been shattered and now you are too a shadow of your former self like your friends. Decide what to do quickly. The world is becoming dark and cold.....

Now a couple of day shots:

p1250681.jpg

p1250712.jpg

Can you survive?

p1210904.jpg

Well I hope you liked it. Comments appreciated. Mysteries will be revealed I assure you, and and I have a much more solid plan as to how this arc will progress so I can also assure this time was not wasted (Don't worry, your votes have a major effect and will decide the details and outcome of the story).

Also know that this was a common occurrence that lead to a few delays: Oh the pain of rebuilding to exact specifications!

Anyway, thanks again and hope you enjoyed!

Batbrick Away! :pir-devil:

Finally, the next episode of IA has arrived!

Yes, I like it! Perhaps, this ship should be highlighted in the Pirates domain, even though it might look out of place. It's very creative and is very suitable with your current IA's plot. I choose to follow up on the clue which Sheckles has provide. Perhaps, it will be the key to something important in this game. During my spare time, I will choose to spend with Sondra. We shall see what the rest have decide.

YAY! I.A. is back!!! :pir-cry_happy: I absolutely loooveee tge ship, one of the best ships I've ever seen!:monkey: The monkey really lightens up the mood :pir_laugh2: All the little features really make it a really great Moc (as always  ) Also the little creatures are neat too  Mmm and the guns (with violence included :pir-tongue::cannon: )

Wow, cool boat. :pir-wub: Not sure I like the rock pieces just sitting there, but other than that, it's great. Those hidden guns are sure going to ruin someone's day...

I think you either need to go attack Dragonator or go into the mountains. I don't see a lot of use for treasure, what else are you going to buy?

Help Sondra. She's proven herself to be a capable leader, having done all this. It'll help to stop her from going nutsy-coockoo like your old teammate.

Great part Batbrick, if a little let down be it's tardieness :pir_laugh2: . I voted to spend time with Sondra, and look for survivors in the mountains.

That ship moured on land after a nuclear war... it wasn't influenced by Fallout 3's Rivet City, by any chance...?

Good to see IA back :pir-sweet:

Another great chapter, Batbrick  That new ship/base is very ingenious, and it gives a perfect idea of the changes produced by the Cataclysm!

I voted both options with Sheckles, btw.

Ah excellent, a new instalment in my grand scheme to conquer the world! What's that? Hey, who are you calling a bad guy? I'm the good one here...

Nice ship Batbrick. :pir-sweet: But first to the characters and creatures. I like how you have developed the characters somewhat, and the effects of the earlier battle make it very real. Nice use of the robotic parts too, they have been incorporated nicely. My one question is who is the person standing next to Sondra in the second photo? The vultures are great, and although not your best, they are still pretty damn cool! They look so cute for such vicious things. :pir-wub:

As for the boat itself, you have done a great job. I love how you have managed to pull of the effect of a stranded boat, with the hull on a slanting angle, while making it look like an occupied location. That must have taken you some time to get the deck to fit on properly so you got a flat surface. That feature alone is really neat, but I also like the big cannons hidden under the deck, the ingenious catapult, all the neat little greebly details and the smaller guns on the other side. The tower is also nicely built, what are the windows from? Are they stickered pieces or printed windows? I take it they are from a Batman set or something? I just can't place them. :pir-grin:

Now, on to the voting, I guess I better vote for what I think is in your best interests (although I still think you should join me. How about you just hand yourself and all your colleagues over to me now, and save me the trouble of rooting you all out.), so I think I'll go with following the clues to find the buried treasure, and spending time with your lady friend. Those cyborgs can be very dull, don't let her turn into one.

Right well, good luck, you'll need it, because we all know Lord Dragonator is going to win. :pir-wink:

Finally, IA is back, and the wait was worth it! :pir-sweet: That ship/base is amazing! :pir-oh: The concept of building a base diagonally on top of a leaning tanker is very creative and brilliant! It's the most original MOC I have seen since... well, your last IA MOC. :pir-grin: Nice cyborg-ified characters too!

I join the majority in saying "Let's make out with our girl friend and go on a treasure hunt!" :pir_laugh2: It's the most fun and reasonable thing to do. :pir-tongue: Also, it's the most piraty thing to do, which is good because it's pirate month! :pir-laugh:

Can't wait for the next installment! :pir-sweet:

Wow, that's an awesome new Chapter! :pir-sweet:

Well, firstly, They have no hope at all in winning against Dragonator's army, they've already proved that they can beat some of the toughest survivor groups...

Next, that's a wonderful ship, especially with the slant :pir-wub:

A few of the faces change though throughout the pics, chiefly Pirahna's and McCoy's, Pirahna's goes back to normal and McCoy goes to Saw-arm's face from Spy-clops... :kahuka:

Great to see the new chapter, but remember, you cannot win. :pir-grin:

I voted to spend time with Sondra and search for the Treasure! :pir-oh3::thumbup::cannon:

PS. I finally got around to photographing my IA MOCs... So expect them soon. :pir-blush: Mind you, My survivors are all for Dragonator's army, If you can't beat them... Join them. :pir-laugh:

Thanks a heap Hollisbrick and thanks too for keeping interest. I'm glad you like the ship and monkey.

Very good chapter. But I noticed in the 1 picture the guy with the orange beard his face had been changed.

Thanks. Yeah, that happened to a few characters which I decided on changing prior to closeup pics. Just ignore that little mistake :pir-blush:

Wow, cool boat. :pir-wub: Not sure I like the rock pieces just sitting there, but other than that, it's great. Those hidden guns are sure going to ruin someone's day...

Thanks. I agree the rock pieces should've had a bit more construction and detail too, so thanks for that little note.

Good to see IA back :pir-sweet:

Another great chapter, Batbrick  That new ship/base is very ingenious, and it gives a perfect idea of the changes produced by the Cataclysm!

Thanks LuxorV, I'm glad to finally post it. Thanks, I don't plan on revealing what The Cataclysm exactly was, but oyu are right in saying that this gives it more scale.

Nice ship Batbrick. :pir-sweet: But first to the characters and creatures. I like how you have developed the characters somewhat, and the effects of the earlier battle make it very real. Thanks evil lord and master Dragonator as usual :pir-tongue: I"m really happy you like it, the person standing next to Sondra is generic random #47, AKA just a new recruit. Trust me too, the deck on slant was one of the most annoying things I've ever built and as you can see in that last link propping it up sometimes resulted in catastrophic failure! The windows are from the Spiderman Dock Ock set and are stickers, but very very good ones. Thanks a heap!

Can't wait for the next installment! :pir-sweet:

Thanks Oky! Glad the wait was worth it, I'm promising myself to be quicker next time. Thanks for commenting on the slanted ship idea, I'm really happy how it came out and fits well with my other unique creations. Great catch on the pirates month too, I hadn't even thought of that!

Thanks again!

Thanks Inertia friend. Dragonator does have the advantage yes, but this coming plotline does have a unique twist in it. Yes again I'm ashamed at the face changes, just ignore that, I changed them a bit after ship photography. Looking forward to your own AI mocs! Please do post them soon and inform me when you do! :pir-cry_happy:

Another great MOC, Batbrick! It took a while, but it's fantastic!

First, my choices. What to do? Follow up on the clue Sheckles gave us. Dragonator's outpost could be too heavily defended or could lead to another encounter with him that we don't really need right now. And a journey to the mountain could be interesting, but you shouldn't just drop everything and leave. After all, you'd be abandoning the people that did all this to bust you out. Besides, this item could be quite valuable for you...

What to do in your spare time? Your girlfriend. Wait, that didn't come out right...

Or did it?: Really though you haven't seen her in ages, she did help bust you out, and it looks like that other random guy is getting awfully close to her...

On to the MOC, fantastic! A great idea using a boat that's been run aground (or left aground by the lack of water... :grin). I'm not sure about the blue, but I guess there was really no choice in that matter. Great job with the whole angled thing, that takes skill and you pulled it off nicely. It keeps that great post-Apoc style with the browns, blacks and tans and those barbed wire loops fit in nicely! The weapons are all, of course, pretty bad-megablocks and mean looking, I wouldn't mind having a couple of them with me! Not sure about having all those explosives stored together in an open area though, if there's one thing I've learnt from video games, it's that if it can explode, it will explode, and everything around it will explode. :pir-skull: The catapult is a fun feature, I guarantee if Lego were to make a post-Apoc line, they'd definately condone that.

So, in conclusion, this is one very sweet, very awesome, very post-Apoc MOC.  Congratulations, and looking forward to the next part!

Oh, and great character development/story too.

~Peace

Awesome. That base just rocks.

I voted to spy on Dragonator, but judging by others votes, I don't think that will happen.

I also voted to stay with the Sondra person. Reminds me of a movie I saw recently.

Finally got a chance to comment. TGIAIB, or, Thank God IA is back :pir_laugh2: . I've been missing this ever since I got into post apoc. Great use of the boat hull as a base (I was gonna do that :pir_bawling: ), and the guns look great. I especially like the ammo in the lower parts of the ship. I voted to keep an eye on Sheckles, and to do Sondra :pir-tongue: . Hope to see more of this soon. Keep up the great work

Thanks mate! I don't like the blue a whole lot either but I didn't want to paint it. The angling thing was the hardest part, you're right, I did try to balance it out with more browns and blacks. The barbed loops are some of my favourite pieces. I agree I wish I had thought about storing the explosives better, now that I think about it a small safe cabin at the front would've been perfect. Oh well though. Thanks a heap again and the first part will most likely not be as delayed!

Awesome. That base just rocks.

I simply love your building style. Those vultures are great and the base... MAGNIFICENT!

That was less actiony but suprisingly intriguing.

I have been a fan of IA since the 3rd one, and after catching up on some reading, (every single one of them) I am able to vote again. I'm dissapointed in Sondra's beleifs of not being human, however I couldn't decide whether to spend time with her, or speak with the old man.

All of your MOC's make me cream my jeans :pir-cry_happy:

I just love chains and skeletons :)
