Recommended Posts

I present an upgraded version of my Modular Railway Station.

As before, the station consists of a main building and three platform sections.

The clocks on the wall show the current time in various capital cities which can be reached by train from this railway station.

Who is hiding in the darkness?
    13324264614_f0722f53fe.jpg
It's just a plumber climbing the ladder. Note a rat hole in the corner.
    13324116703_5b741be191_z.jpg
The rat hole is connected to the platform section.

Its exit is underneath the platform.

The complete platform has enough length to accommodate trains with up to three carriages.
    13328824273_f62c17b5a5_c.jpg
  • Bonus #1.
Note a secret hatch underneath the platform...
    13329410294_18a9519c15_z.jpg13329235533_ea7352dc00_z.jpg
It leads to the second part of the basement!

The entrance to the room has ray protection...
    13330122845_d7d38a1d4f_z.jpg
...that can be deactivated only after authorization using this console.
    13330387553_379dee99b3.jpg
Here is a powerful reactor that actually supplies this facility and the train. Most part of it remains underground.
    13330550045_4041c2dbb9_z.jpg
Energy system control terminal that may be needed in emergency situations.
    13330651735_8fac2d6462_z.jpg
Here is an electronic brain of the train, the actual center of the railway station. It has been upgraded and now consists of three state-of-the-art quantum supercomputers.
    13331326864_95a92b1263_c.jpg
These transmitters connect the computer with the train systems.
    13332113903_c1aed9fecd_c.jpg
The computer is definitely planning something evil that involves these large gas cylinders hidden underground. It appears that the train is a distant relative of Blaine the Mono, and its brain has gone mad too!

Computer-operated gas control unit is ready to release a dangerous gas...

...that can poison the entire city population! It seems that the citizens are unaware of the threat!
    13332447283_7e7403c667_z.jpg
  • Bonus #2.
Let's look underneath the roof of the portico...
    At the left side...
    13333804044_f688029859_z.jpg
...there is a sculpture of an Angel of Light that symbolizes the beginning of human life path. It is also symbolic that the sculpture is placed above the vase of flowers.
    13333565513_f17ec78d3f.jpg
    At the right side...
    13333416405_e4c19f57a0_z.jpg
...there is a sculpture of an Angel of Dark that symbolizes the end of human life path. It is also symbolic that the sculpture is placed above the menacing ventilation grill.

Fantastic update of an already great work. All those details, amazing. I especially like the bas relief and the sculptures of the angels.

I really like this version a lot better!

The black tiles on the roof give it a cleaner look, the white skylights are a nicer touch than the blue, and the tan, white, and black colors work very well together.

I loved the original but this really is great! I would love to make something like this myself but I don't have the time or space.

This is amazing. It's a fantastic overall model, but the little features really make it stand out - I particularly love the angels.

Fantastic job, I thought it was good before, but now it is even better.

Having all those details and 'secrets' incorporated in the design make it truly special.

Btw, thanks for including underpasses : I've done the same for my much smaller station, and I like them so much better than overpass bridges.

The original was great... I still don't know how you managed to find so many improvements to make to it. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Thank you everyone for the comments!

By the way, the railway station has taken its place in my Lego City:

Holy wow, that is a fantastic station!!! The attention to detail is astonishing! There's so much to love but my favourite part/s are the two angel roof sculptures... Amazing feature.

I hope you decide to keep the station as is for your town, it's ace!

Happy building

Now that's a railway station! (not the shoddy bus stops that lego passes off as a railway station, like their latest sets) If you happen to have a LDD file of this station, please share!
