Elephant Knight Posted August 3, 2015 Just my (second) version of the iconic ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Black Pearl with shadow test by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Square-rigged, Three Masts, 22B The stern: Black Pearl 2 (4) by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Here is a comparison shot with my old one. Well, more like, two pictures from the same angle stuck together, as the old one is long gone. Black Pearl Old vs New by Elephant-Knight, on Flickr Comments and criticism are always welcome to port! Captain Braunsfeld Posted August 4, 2015 Fine ship. Looks great - more pictures, please! (far far better than the standard pearl!)
Plaid Beard Posted August 4, 2015 Very well done. It has that sort of creepy/cool feel that the ship had in the movie.

dr_spock Posted August 4, 2015 Well done. Good use of the microfigs.
blackdeathgr Posted August 7, 2015 Fine ship! I would improve the bow as it feels lengthy and empty in a way i cannot explain. Maybe a sail underneath would help? I don't know.
Staslegomaster Posted August 9, 2015 She looks impressive! It can really become a pearl of someone's collection

Dread Pirate Rob Posted September 3, 2015 Fantastic, you have captured the feel of the original beautifully. I love the stern and the line of the guns, both very tricky to do in brick. Rob
Captain Dee Posted September 19, 2015 I never liked the Black Pearl due to the black-on-black-on-black-on-black-on-black color scheme, but your model actually looks pretty good. The shape is fantastic, and while the gold window lattices look out of place, they provide some much-needed color that would truly look nice as an accent color throughout. Excellent work!
