7029 - Skeleton Ship Attack

Recommended Posts

What about KK then? Although there was a lot of magic, there were strictly human good guys VS human bad guys battles. Lego could very well make new Pirate sets. They still haven't. Since they're on their way to "recovery" (look at Castle!), I think that in 2008 or 2009 the Pirate theme will return.

Yah I guess. Pirates aren't Pirates unless they do a human vs human conflict.

And we already have a Pirate theme...

J/K

When will LEGO get a pirate theme? Missed out on the original, so getting new ones would be great.

Oh... who thinks this set will have the trolls we've seen on the castle poster?

Human vs. monster or not, as long as they have the Imperial Forces, because I have to many pirates and not enough Imperial men.

Pirate LEGO 2.0 isn't imposible, because LEGO is running out of ideas! Spongebob? Exo-force? Aang the last- whatever? Pirates are a main toy-hobby thing! Don't forget ( although we'd love too :-D ) 4+++++++++++ or Duplo! Those were human Vs. human ( then again, it's more human Vs. Nothing ). I think these were test's by LEGO, too see what happens.

:-D X-D

I think it's pirate vs. a child's imaginative attention span or

LEGO vs. the parents budget to buy 2 sets :-)

______________

Like I mentioned in another thread most of the monsters assosiated with pirates have already been used in aquaqraiders and vikings sets. I was afraid that was considered mythical overkill but that doesn't stop them from using dragons inevery other castle, vikings, and Harry Potter set. :-P

I don't know about you, but I for one wouldn't mind a dragon or monster in every set of every theme :-P

I'm thinking -fire truck vs. the fire breathing dragon! :-D

what is interesting about this equation is that the return of the Wild West fits right in ;-) Ghost Town would be a perfect "man vs. something" addition to the line-up. actual, adding ghosts to the dragon/skeleton/alien/robot/monster line-up, seems like the next logical move, if LEGO is truly going for "man vs. somethings" X-D

There you go with your wild west theme again. :-| :-D I'm just kidding! I'ld love a ghost town, but I'ld like a ghost ship even more. I'm not sure how the spongebob's flying dutchman is going to be, but I do have high hopes for this Skeleton Ship Attack even if it's not quite pirates.

Lets hope it is a skeleton ship with a lot of skeletons. SOunds promising.

-ZotS

Like a ghost ship sorta? You can use that with any of those themes. So I don't know. *pirate*

:-D the only reason i bring it up is cause it fits really really well into their schedule. oh, and because i am reworking my HAUNTED PASS, and currently adding on to the theme as a whole ;-)

Pirate's Vs. Mythical-something is a great idea! But I hope they wouldn't do overkill, like putting more bricks into the dragons or the trolls! Like in Viking! which is a great theme by the way. *y* *wub*

the pirates are back from the dead!! X-D

i would rather it only had the ship and a smaller fort so it could be cheaper...

this would make it more ecxpensive!

or if they wanted to make a more ecxpensive set why not make a bigger ship?

anyways ..it looks ok but the rest of the castle sets are way better than this

whats with the batman wings?

did batman die become a pirate and went to medival time? *wacko*

That pier is very nice. The ship is.... well, nice too. But.... I expected a little more than a half

longboat hull with a nice sterncastle.... It would be interesting to see some better pictures of that stern....

At least there is the possibility to build a cool black ship with two of them.... when there is a sale

someday. Ah, my first pirate hat.... that

Wow, not a lot of enthusiasm for this set so far. Personally, I really like the look of this set, its WAY beyond what I expected ( I was expecting the ship to look a lot cheesier). The castle wall/harbor looks great ( it will look great next to the main castle). I like the little warehouse-looking building on the castle. I also like how the ship kind of looks like the Harry Potter Durmstrang (sp?) ship. I'll definitely pick this one up.

Does anyone know if this is the final look of the set or a prototype?

what is with the batman wings... those seem really out of place *wacko*

hmmm... overall, im not sure. it looks a little weak. i don't care for the iconography on the sail. the skeleton figures look nice though, and i do like the half-long boat look.

however, in contrast the harbor fort is nice... and i like the warehouse (?) building, aswell.

--------------------------------------------------

im still trying to figure out a MOCing use for that electric/magic piece.... it looks interesting, but im not sure how to included it in anything.

Hm, it has a tinge of white. I guess they were just looking for a place to reuse the mold so it didn't feel like as much of a waste?

I've thought of a couple of small ideas, actually. Fitting it in a chrome lightsaber it could make for a really nice crystal fantasy blade. Also upside-down it could make for icicles. And in space MOCs a bunch together might make for a nice energy bit for a reactor core, beginning of a laser beam (a bunch together...a bundle), or even for an engine or something. I can't wait to get my hands on them X-D

yes, strangely enough, i think this is going to be one of those piece i horde... for no particular reason. i have a couple pieces i do this with... and that energy/magic looks pretty cool.

AWESOME!

It's just what I was hoping for! The ship with the pirate style sail is great, same for the human outpost. I also like the skeleton captain a lot. I love 2007, I love it!

The harbor looks sweet! I love the roof on the right building. The boat looks kinda weird though. It's a bit too 'fat' on the back for my liking. And it could've had a lot more skeleton partes and horns to really make it look like a Skeleton Ship. I do love the burnt look of the boat. It just like it got burned by the enemy and sunk down to Davy Jones' Locker, only to be recalled to fight once more for the Sorceror >:-) .
