Hello there! I found this funny little MOC on MOCpages (well.. actually Mister Phes did) and I'd like to share it with you.

Dinner With the Islanders

Captain Gerald tragically misinterprets the Islanders desire to, "have him for dinner"

Why thank you for creating this thread for me :pir-grin:

Quite a humourous little MOC (or would it pass a vignette?) we have here.

Do you think Captain Gerald managed to escape? He seems quite buff...

He looks quite relaxed for somebody sitting in boiling water.

A great scene and very well built too.

About the "very well built" comment...

I see the technique used here are a couple of rubber bands around some plates, but the effect is somewhat uneven and in reality the water would come pouring out of the cracks.

Is there a way to produce a similiar effect without the uneveness?

I like the uneven look... and I have actualy just realized, if you look closely, only a little bit on the top is where water could escape, but the bottom majority is sealed(you can see somewhat of a black dish type thing inside of it)

I love how MOC fans make use of ANY new part, to help along!

I never would've DREAMED the surfer torso would apply to a Pirate MOC, but that's because I sometimes fail to see the bigger picture.

thanks, though, for showing the way!
