LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 4, 2010 Hi everyone, I really love the Hobby Train set, in particular the electric locomotive n.5. My personal revisitation for the 12 volts world require however 3 things : 1) Rise the height to five bricks, like all the other locomotives 2) Use the classic train doors for a more realistic access of the engine drive 3) The locomotive must have real forward and rear lights Here you can see the new shape ...for the lights I have glued a brick 1x1 with a Slope Brick Curved 6x1 ...the slope brick has also been perforated to allow the passage of the light. To see the complete project visit my page on Brick Shelf ...see you soon...

WesternOutlaw Posted April 5, 2010 It's always neat to see one train from a particular era (in this case for 9V) converted to a different system. Many are converting stuff like this to Power Functions. It's great to see it "retro-fitted".
