This model is based on the USCG Defender

My model is fitted with twin outboard motors, harpoon, lifering and a tow chain for towing impounded or damaged vessels

Looks good. Ilike it. I would change the front wind sheild to one that slopes forward instead of back. Other than that i think you captured it very well.

Nice, it is good to see again boat MOC here. I thought that there is nothing to do with the large RIB base but you have taken it into quite purposeful use. Good job. Is there any real boat similar to yours?

The USCG Defender class boat, also called response boat-small (RB-S), is a standard boat introduced by the United States Coast Guard in July 2003. The Coast Guard plans to replace a mixture of older boats with up to 700 Defender class vessels. The boats serves a variety of missions, including search and rescue, port security and constabulary duties.

I too have one of those bases and didn't really know what to do with it. When I saw the first pictures of the MOC I wasn't too convinced that this was a good idea. However, the photograph of the real boat made it clear that you've actually done a pretty good job and the improved version is even better. Nice.

Very nice, that change of the windshield did it. It is really good to see what you can do with this base :thumbup:

btw, your last pics are a bit blurry, or is it my eye vision :sceptic:

Apologies for bringing back and old topic but after I first posted this MOC Ralph_S made an even better version so I thought I would improve mine, the rear door and opening windows are ralphs deisgn but I have made a few improvements so here is an updated version

Mods could you please change the moc image to the one featured below
