Captain BeerBeard Posted September 2, 2012 Deep in the wood of Avalonia, lay the ancient ruins of a time long gone. The crafty forest thieves of Avalonia have converted the ruins into a hideout. It's not the most comfortable housing but works for laying low. They mostly stash loot and get drunk there. Overview Figures Play features Some pictures Thank you for viewing. Rogue Angel Posted September 2, 2012 Awesome! This was the first forestmen set I owned, and my favorite castle faction. You done a beautiful job of recreating a larger, more elegant version. Great idea and great build!

Great idea and great build! Thank you. They were my favorite too. I sadly no longer own them, so I have to make my own unofficial forestmen.

Captain BeerBeard Posted September 3, 2012 I've always liked that set, though I never owned one. Your remake is great, I especially like your version of the opening parts Top-notch foliage as always too Thanks. A MISB copy costs around 370.00 dollars. Nice remake! Looks great! :) Lots of Plants! Thanks. You gotta have lots of plants! Have you thought of joining Avalonia?
WhiteFang Posted September 3, 2012 This brings back good memories! You have certainly made a fine and absolute nice MOC with the thought of remembering the outstanding classic 6066 Camouflaged Outpost! Your landscaping is done very nicely and I really enjoyed this modern version as much as the classic one.
Legonardo Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) Great job! as I have said before I really like this MOC, it is an excellent remake Thanks. You gotta have lots of plants! Have you thought of joining Avalonia? YES! - on mark joining the guild, I don't have many plants keep it up! ~Dangerous Edited September 3, 2012 by Legonardo
Jason Cicchini Posted September 3, 2012 Now, see, THIS is the kind of re-imagining we all could use more of! Of all Castle sub-themes, Forestmen have been sorely underused. I vote TLG bring back the sub-theme, and make you head designer. I'd buy multiples of every set!
de Gothia Posted September 3, 2012 Ah! So many childhood memories! A great set indeed but your´s is so much better! A lot of nice details and the moc has a very CptBB feel over it!
KristofBD Posted September 3, 2012 Good stuff! Love how you integrated the flowers from the Friends sets
Erynlasgalen Posted September 4, 2012 Great remake! I really like the way you made the tree by using two different colors for both the trunk and leaves. All your details and foliage is top notch as usual

A great set indeed but your´s is so much better! A lot of nice details and the moc has a very CptBB feel over it! Thanks! I went back in my building style on this one. Good stuff! Love how you integrated the flowers from the Friends sets Thank you. I wish that the flowers become more common. Great remake! I really like the way you made the tree by using two different colors for both the trunk and leaves. All your details and foliage is top notch as usual Thank you. The tree was the most challenging part of the build. I'm glad you liked it because I personally was unsure of it. I really don't like brick built trees. I love the Banana Balance style tree. Thanks, everyone for the support. Now I need to make some more stuff for you all.

Maxim I Posted September 4, 2012 Great that it can be split up, even you don't notice it in the MOC! And indeed very typically Avalonian: all those flowers and trees... Great MOC/Remake!!!
