Holodoc Posted May 5, 2012 That's probably a custom. Looks okay in quality, I guess, but it's not pure LEGO. Correct, it IS a custom. Here's the list of chromed parts originally made from TLG and the part shown ist not part of the list. If it's not completely made by other brands, it is a chromed Lego piece, but I cannot distinguish from what theme it could be made.

Puck Posted May 15, 2012 Hey guys! I was going through an old box of LEGO and I found a minifig, in pretty good condition in the box. I thought he looked like he belonged to a old Wild West set but was not sure. I was meaning to post this for a little while now but never got around to it. I was just wondering if any of you guys could shine some light on the subject and let me know if you knew what set he was from. It would be great! I uploaded the photo on flickr and the link will be below. I know that I did not just create him with random pieces 'cause i'm not really one for that. And even if I do, I would put them back to their original state. http://www.flickr.com/photos/78669316@N06/7205504934/in/photostream/ Thanks a bundle! ;) (I've always wanted to write that!) -Puck PS If this topic is not in the right place can somebody move it? LRDark Posted May 15, 2012 Indeed, that is the makings of Black Bart from the Western theme. He is missing a black scarf and a brown cowboy hat. This particular Black Bart, with the black legs opposed to dark grey and a white scarf, is available in five sets I believe, including the rerelease of Fort Legorado. They include: 6799, 6762/6791, 6761, and 6712.
Siercon and Coral Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) Bandit 1 And the sets LRDark listed are correct :) Edited May 15, 2012 by Siercon and Coral

Runamuck Posted May 16, 2012 I have a few odd ones: This isn’t so much a question of what, but more a question of why. Why does one of the bricks have “A” printed on the studs? If I remember correctly I also have a few red bricks with other letter on their studs as well. I guess the other brick is an old wheel block that wasn’t finished. antp Posted May 16, 2012 (edited) Isn't that simply some generic brand, Lego-compatible? Edited May 16, 2012 by antp
Runamuck Posted May 16, 2012 (edited) I doubt that, you can see in the picture that it actually says LEGO on one of the studs too. Edited May 16, 2012 by Runamuck

Runamuck Posted May 16, 2012 Test bricks? I suspected that they might be something like that. The place where I got those bricks, if I remember that part correctly, occasionally has some odd bricks like misprints, missing prints or odd quantities of uncommon bricks. I guess they have gotten their hands on some LEGO that was discarded by the factory. Thanks for the links, they were an interesting read. Nothing special about the colors of my own bricks though. It's a test brick due to the letter and yes, it's an unfinished wheel brick, part 7049... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=7049b I have a few with the LEGO logo, but not yet with this letter. Quarryman Posted May 19, 2012 So, anyone have any idea what this part is? (you can blame Holodoc for the crappy picture, he might have a better one) It's the same part as you can see here with the string going through it. We found it on one of the prototype designs of the 10226 Sopwith Camel.

(you can blame Holodoc for the crappy picture, he might have a better one) It's the same part as you can see here with the string going through it. We found it on one of the prototype designs of the 10226 Sopwith Camel. That is Lloyd Garmadon's spinner booster, first used to make him tall enough for it. For some reason Bricklink deny its existence, though it clearly appears in 9552.
