Two Stage Legs...Show Your Designs....

I am working on something which requires two stage legs.

So Here is what I have came up with.......But can you make a better version?

why two stage legs? i cant come up with something in real life with two stage legs. :laugh:

i used a pneumatic cylinder and a gear rack on my mobile crane. :classic:

Yes that would be too easy....lots of machiney has 2 stage legs.It would be better to copy the real one as closely as possible.

The pics aren't massively clear. I gather that's black string used so far, similar to the 8421 crane boom?

you are kidding right? almost all construction vehicles use two stage legs

Looking good! You've seen my efforts in the flesh, pneumatic cylinders for the vertical stage are easier to implement but the mini la option does give better adjustability..

Yeb I saw your unimog mod at AFOL con,pneumatic cylinders are a very popular choice.I wanted something different. :tongue:
