MOD version 2 of Nico71's Jeep L3B file

Recommended Posts

I lot of builders do not create intructions because it is a lot of work. I wanted to get a better understanding of this by putting 1 of my mod's into SR 3d builder.

I learned a lot and got a lot of respect for the builders that do create instructions :laugh: please never stop creating this instructions.

I also like to understand how I can create a build instruction based on this L3b file?

I have built Nico71's Trial Jeep (in the original yellow) -- what have you modified on it, besides the color and roof?

He already has PDF Building Instructions available for download.

Hi DLuders...I have a lot of respect for you guys....I just want to learn how all of this works. I want to learn how to create build-instruction and choice this model because I am a big fan of jeeps and Nico his work. For what I have changed to the model is is adding a which that is driven by a m-motor and added a m-motor to the "gearbox" so seleting low of high gear can be done remote. I added lights. I also modified the body work: I made it 2 studs wider and added doors. The doors have a locking mechanisme (this is the 2 studs wider reason) I made the chassis more stiff in my view (used the Trial Crawler of nico as base).

Hope when you take a closer look that you maybe enyoy it also.

I enyoy technic lego every day and have lots of respect for people like Nico, Sheepo, Sariel, Paul..Nathanael Kuipers..and lot's more.

Because of this I wanted to explore and understand the time and effort all these people but into this. Hope people will not be offended by my attempt.

Does this made sense to you and will you help me with my next step?

@bmollema

Welcome to the forum :classic:

Whichever BI (building instructions) you decide to re-create, please be aware that it's considered good practice to ask the original creator for permission first. In the Nico Jeep case, Nico71 himself already made the model available with full instructions, but even so, if you plan to make a digital model out of it and make that it available for download (like you have done with the L3B file), you should still ask for permission for that.

PS: When you make a reply to someone elses post, please make it a habit to convert the picture to links (removing the tag), since they otherwise take up unnecessary real estate. Thanks :classic: (I did it for you this time).

xSergio74 (the author of SR3D) wrote in this Eurobricks post that "If you want to create paper instructions then you need to use an external tool. There are many and probably the best can be found here: http://lpub.sourceforge.net/ ." Blakbird said that "LPub will only open .ldr and .mpd files, so just change the [sR3D .L3B] extension to one of these." :classic:
