Splat Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Does TinySRC still load the entire image though, only re sizing it visually? If the webpage still has to load the entire file (size) then it doesn't help. No, TinySRC processes the file and serves up a smaller file. The way it works is that TinySRC downloads the image from the hosting site (eg. BrickShelf), it then resizes that image and caches it on the TinySRC servers. What you end up seeing is the resized version of the image which is downloaded from the TinySRC servers, with smaller dimensions, and a smaller file size. For example, the following image is 2756 x 2067 pixels, and has a file size of 446.18KB: http://www.pressrelations.de/presseservice_material/pressemitteilungen/pics/454593_20116150436342593.jpg After adding TinySRC to the URL we get an image that is 800 x 600 pixels and 65.4KB: http://i.tinysrc.mobi/800/600/http:/www.pressrelations.de/presseservice_material/pressemitteilungen/pics/454593_20116150436342593.jpg So what the reader of the EB forums downloads is the smaller 65.4KB file, but you can always add a link back to the larger image for those that want to see more detail (and can handle the larger downloads). I know that I have been pushing TinySRC a bit, but I should say that I have no affiliation with them, I just like using their service. Roger Rabbit Posted August 30, 2011 I'm having real trouble with photo uploads, I've taken about a dozen photos for a quick review, each on about 350 x 350, only to find I can only upload 100k of pictures, and as one picture is over 50K, I cannot make the review at all, any help out there?? P4trickvH Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) Make an account at flickr, brickshelf or any other hosting site that allows you to deeplink images. Upload them there and then use the next brackets "" without the "". That way your not limited to 100K; your also not supposed to use the site upload image for that kind of stuff. Thats why it's also limited to 100K file size. It will only slow down the forum and the server running the forum. See this post for more information! Downside is, whenever I link the picture from my flickr account, I get this message: You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. And I've no clue what to do.. You want to get the url of the picture, NOT of the page the picture is on, if that makes any sense. I assume you've gotten to the page in this screenshot, when you're there choose the size you want and then control-click on the image. Then choose Copy Image URL and use that to deeplink. Splat Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) For anyone that has been using TinySRC to automatically shrink their images, please note that the new Eurobricks forum software may cause all of your images to appear broken. The work-around to fix this is to replace the second double '//' with a single '/'.
