KimT Posted May 27, 2011 The votes are usually done by allowing members to vote for their favorite entries by handing out a total of 3 or 5 points as they see fit to split between 1 or more entries. There's no reason it should be different this time - though you'll all have to wait for the vote topics to go public early next week. Bear in mind that persuading friends to vote for your own entry is generally frowned upon and if we get the idea that participants are "boosting" their votes, then the infamous "Ban Hammer!" will be brought into action and Thor's Mjolnir is a kitten compared to that one Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

If I (or any staffer) find out that someone is having friends vote for him/her, then we will strike swiftly with no warning. Please accept that the idea of this is to have the best entry win - not the one with the most friends online. Friend votes are frowned upon and seriously damage the idea of a free and mature vote - if something's better than yours, then it probably deserve to win. Right?
