-JD- Posted October 23, 2010 30012 - Microlight Brickset Bricklink Packet: Well, nothing new here. It's in a normal plastic baggie with the set picture on the front and writing on the back. The little airport scene in the background is nice, though. But watch out for those plane engines! Instructions: Again, normal sized for a set this small. Here are pictures for those of you who want to recreate this set yourself: Figure: Quite a nice little figure, with the cool sunglasses and quite grumpy look that I can't get enough of! The torso is different too, a first for me. No back printing though. Parts: I think the inclusion of the red window is a little random, and a way to get rid of excess parts. Some Build Stages: Finished Model: Spares: Set Analysis: - Build - 8/10 (quite simple, some good techniques for a promo) - Parts - 8/10 (good selection of parts in ranging colours, useful elsewhere too) - Figures - 10/10 (for a promotional set, one figure is always plenty) - Playability - 9/10 (very swooshable, rolls easily, but it needs some guns to make it 10/10 ) - Price - 10/10 (it's free, unless you don't want the newspaper in which case it costs you 65p ) Overall: 90%
Zorbas Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks for the very nice review Jammie. It's a nice small promo. Simple but cute design. Free LEGO never hurt anyone I guess. I 'd really like to see promotional offers like this in my country... Enjoy it!
prateek Posted October 23, 2010 Great review. I have no idea why this is called Microlight though The only thing that I don't like is that one random window
Mrlegoninja Posted October 23, 2010 Great review. I do wish we had these in the US. A free fig is always good.
