Thanks! yep 12lbs per ankle, the legs only have 2 poseable positions, the knees do not bend and studying rockos i don't see how his can bend either, his does have the hinges in the knees but the curved slopes on the sides will prevent them from bending. cavegod Posted February 25, 2010 just when you think you are getting somewhere you notice inacurate details!! done so far legs x 4 feet x 4 ankles x 4 head x 1 main frame/hips x1 front drive motor x 1 left side x 1 right side x 1 started on the top and redesigned the front top although not built fully yet. the rear sides have been enlrged by 1 stud vertically and 2 studs in length to make it nearly spot on with the movie model where as rockos is not completely accurate. it's created a huge problem for me when building the rear top slope but i will tackle that when i get round to it. my design for the neck works so i have that to finish it only gives me a few degrees left and right but better than non?? Have you tested that yet, or is that something you're going to tackle when the time comes? Also, is the head going to have movement up and done, or just side to side? cavegod Posted March 1, 2010 yes i can confirm that it does support the weight of the head but alas it cannot tilt up and down, allthough a few of those pneumatic spring pistons would make the head weight neutral if i was to add that feature...........(starts to ponder the idea.... )it would be easy to mod the head joint to pivot up/down Are you just working on the frame and neck now? As you have the exterior pretty much finished? Or are you starting over. Nice work so far, seems to be a fun project. Nice greebling too. The belly looks pretty accurate; will there be a little hatch for Luke to toss his empty coke can grenade into?
