Day 6

01.jpg

Tired and ready for some rest reactor chief La'h'rok was heading back to his quarters.

02.jpg

Unfortunately for him he wasn't alone.

03.jpg

And he hardly had time to react before the mysterious figure hit him with a mace.

04.jpg

Hitting him hard and fast, again and again.

05.jpg

Even rock hard skulls will crack when hit hard enough and long enough.

06.jpg

And a gruesome fate befell him too.

07.jpg

As usual the crew was again met by Ivanova on the screen.

Good morning everyone. Today I seem to only have bad news again, one death last night, La'h'rok who was not-infected. This seems to be heading in the wrong direction fast, but fear not, I trust you still have enough time, if you just keep up the pace.

7 Days remaining until black hole's gravitational pull will be too strong for our engines to achieve escape velocity.

Rules

(borrowed from Dragonator )

This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Each "Day", you will be given 96 real hours in which to vote for someone to kill. The day will end as soon as a majority decision is reached, or when the 4 days are up. If someone has been convicted, you will find out their loyalty shortly after end of the day. After this a night phase will begin, which will last 48 real hours. Then the cycle will repeat. Those players with night actions must PM them to me during the night phase. If I do not receive them within the 48 hours, they will not be counted.

- There are two main sides in the game, not-infected and infected. Your winning criteria is included with your character PM.

- Voting is to be done in the day thread, and should follow the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Please note the use of bold. This is the only format that will be accepted. To unvote someone, the same applies: Unvote: Character (Player).

- There will be no voting in the first 24 hours of a game Day.

- No unvoting after a conviction has been reached. Do this more than once and you will be killed.

- You may not edit your posts. Do this more than three times and you will be killed.

- Out of character (OOC) posts should be kept in the Discussion thread.

- No metagaming.

- There are no clues in the pictures, so don't look for them.

- Do not post in the Day threads when dead. You're dead, act like it.

- Do not ever directly quote something the game moderator has sent to you via PM, whether it be your character information, night action results, or any other form of communication. Violation of this rule will result in a moderator kill. You may of course paraphrase any information you receive; if it is your own words then it is fine.

- Do not discuss game tactics or "play the game" outside the game thread, including in the General Discussion thread. You may communicate privately via PM, but this is at your own risk, and should be considered part of playing the game.

- Please be considerate towards the host. I will try my best to stick to the schedule, and your cooperation will help this greatly, particularly getting night actions in promptly.

Voting may start at 00:35 UTC Wednesday, 9th of December.

On Day 6 it takes 7 votes to convict.

Aw crap! And wouldn't you know it? Our new investigator was planning to scan him last night too. Well, I still do wonder what the results were because it'll tell us if that cursed thing works or not...

Wow, we really need to start thinking. Or just vote for Ivan.

So, does anyone make anything of Ivanova's costume change yesterday? Was it some sort of clue? She was wearing a green dress as opposed to her Red dress that looks like the one Willie Scott wore in the opening number in that Earth movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Anybody?

Hello everyone, I'm sorry about my silence.

I'm very shy around other people, I'm also a tad bit scared with this whole "infection" thing happening. I'm not sure who to vote for, I also don't think that Ivanova's dress has anything to do with any clues. A mace though, I'm not sure anything like that has been used since ancient medieval times. I mean seriously, who the hell brings a mace on board a spacecraft. Eh, I shouldn't have insulted the killer. Sorry mysterious killer. Unless your infected, in which case, I'm not sorry.

Well, I guess I'll go and monitor communications and...stuff...

Ohh, now I'm mad. I'm definitely keeping with my vote when I cast it today.

I already told you yesterday, she said the security tapes and stills have no clues in them. As a security cheif, shouldn't you be attentive to these things?

Why is nobody else talking? This day is ... like five minutes long already. OK, so the AI told us her dress wasn't a clue, but why would she say it was or wasn't? She's a crazy bitch that way. You know what? Speaking of crazy bitches, my dearly beloved Suze has been pretty distracting trying us to get us to vote against two people who ended up to be non-infected. Hmmmm...maybe our new investigator can investigate her tonight. Unfortunately, I think it would be a wasted investigation. Maybe Suze can just start acting rational instead of blaming the AI for all the things we can't figure out. Wieners.

Anyway, our new investigator is completely unwilling to be revealed, but I think I can convince this person to investigate the person we choose for them to investigate.

Furthermore, it'd be worth it to ask Suze who she blocked. If she blocked Wicwa again, we may be onto the person who has the ability to fiddle with the scanner. We've seen the scanner give correct results on two nights and incorrect results on one night... If Wicwa was blocked again, I do believe we should consider voting her off today...

My vote is easy today. No further discussion is needed.

Who? Who? And why? Tell me tell me tell me!

Suze. Frankly, she's been misleading the whole time. And she's just killed off uninfected after uninfected. I really honestly think she can only be tricked so much, so unless someone on the infected side is one hell of a mastermind, I think Suze has made herself a little too obvious. I'm of course interested in her defense, but at the same time will take it with a grain of salt. No, a few grains of salt. Nah, a large mound of salt.

Great... :sceptic: I can see why you would think that. I'm not sure anymore either. She's certainly not acting like herself, the Suze I fell in love with. :cry_sad:

Seems like the only lead we have today besides some supposed "AI Becoming Infected" Theory

I too will be waiting to see what her response is though :sceptic: , But will probable still vote for her anyway.

I'm getting us to vote people to death? Did I lead the call for Sarah? Engofi? Anyone? Yeah, I didn't trust La'h'Rok and would have voted him off, but there was good reason to suspect him after he failed to kill who he agreed to. Despite that, we made peace and had a plan last night, then he was killed before he could do it. Since the infected killer had avoided him up to that point, and he was foolish enough to broadcast the plan to a few of you, it seems obvious that he told someone who was infected and they knew he had to die to protect their fellow infected crewmate.

His target was Wicwa, you can bet she's infected and La'h'Rok died because the infected wanted to protect her.

If you can actually investigate now and get proper results, kill her and investigate me, at least she won't be tampering with the scanner and you'll know once and for all that I am not infected.

As for the sudden bandwagon against me, I would suggest to the uninfected crew that they review the tapes of previous days and see the truth, because I haven't been the one causing us to go wrong, it's been the people who have argued against me, knowing that I was on to one of their kind.

When the time comes, I hope you'll be ready to vote for the truth instead of their lies.

I am unsure I follow your logic. Perhaps if Susan would tell us who she blocked, we might know. If Wicwa was not blocked, then I am inclined to believe that our Lt. Commander has been leading us a merry dance around the harddrives.

Watch it punk!

Watch what? You asked a question and I answered it... for the third time. Meanwhile, your pretty hyper this morning aren't you? didn't you get any sleep, or were out and about last night?

Why is nobody else talking? This day is ... like five minutes long already. OK, so the AI told us her dress wasn't a clue, but why would she say it was or wasn't? She's a crazy female canine that way.

Well, if you want to keep looking for clues that way, be my guest. But I guess she would be a bastard host to this ship if Ivanova was lying.

Yup, but there's someone else.

Exactly. I trusted L'Rok through and through, and now I really believe Wicwa to be infected. In addition to what you said, I remember yesterday she was still trying to throw suspicion on the late Barney, even though he was already proven innocent. And I do believe she might have tampered with the investigation results, so I'm still not sure if Barney was paranoid or insane.

If we vote off Wicwa today, and she's infected, I'll never doubt you again, Susan.

*you're- first sentence. I know you'd kill me for that.

*second sentence.

I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer, I've been blocking Wicwa for days, I only wish I had suspected her enough to block her the night Sarah was falsely found infected, maybe it could have been prevented.

I think today will be very revealing and help to highlight just where people stand, especially since a few were so quick to try to turn the issue away from Wicwa after Michael brought her up, just as the infected killer saved her life last night by killing La'h'Rok, who we needed desperately.

So, La'R'Hok was on his way to kill Wicwa, huh? Did you get any indication from blocking her if she left her room or not?

My specified method of blocking would have prevented her from leaving her room. Once that was enabled, I went to bed secure in the knowledge that she wouldn't be up to anything all night.

Losing our night vigilant is going to cost us, but hopefully we can make it up today by finally voting off one of the real infected. There has been much confusion recently over whether people are what they claim to be, but I think we are starting to get a clearer idea of what is going on now, even if it is a little late. :sceptic:

Personally I have someone in mind that I will likely vote for as well, and I will be interested to see how everyone else votes. This day may be very revealing for us all, I should say.

I stuck a pair of your tighty whities on her head, it's enough to immobilize even the surliest troll (I actually timelocked her door from the outside).

This is insane! I didn't even leave my room - and my husband, for what he's worth can verify that - but you're still suspecting I'm somehow responsible for these killings?!

I can't believe you are trusting the Lt. Commander so blindly. She has been one of the main voices throughout this game, getting person after person thrown out of the air lock, and aside from one, they have been innocent.

As for Barney, it was proven his "investigations" couldn't be trusted so of course I thought we would now fare better without him mixing the pack. That didn't mean I wanted him dead or anything.

I don't know what else to say in order to convince you of my innocence, so maybe I should reveal you my stupid night action that seems to have gotten me into this mess. I am a neutral player, and my night action gives me insight on how many infected people there are aboard this ship. When I used this ability, I found out that there are five wieners in total - which is why I asked Hinckley why he accused five people yesterday (thinking he might be infected for knowing this).

My background story is that I was once infected by a wiener in my homeplanet, but I got rid of it, although I can still sense their presence. Hence the neutral role. Could I honestly be making something like this up?

There you have it. If you convict me now, you will lose nothing but gain nothing either.

If you want to end this, though, you should focus on finding the one behind these killings, instead of convicting inconsequential individuals like me. Right now, it looks like Suze Antares is the mastermind behind this all, leading you on like a herd of sheep.

Ahhh zarking fargwat. This is JUST what we need. The reactor chief goes down too... Now, the infected really are close to crippling this Vessel. We've lost our doctor, our head of engineering and now our reactor chief. He was really the only one suited for the job, too. Since he was, well... You know, a Rock.

I have a pretty good idea of where my vote is going today, but I'm going to bide my time here.

This is an interesting revelation I must say... If you truly are or once were infected, it might explain that there are more than one neutral players on the ship. Possibly Sarah, too.

Big Suze, is... well. Rather hasty. I'm not entirely sure she's evil, but she can be if she wants... I assume, since she's acting commander...
