Jipay Posted September 17, 2004 As some you may have notice, I'm in a little project with Apo and I need to make a modelisation of a minifig in 3d. Do you think those proportions are correct ? Comments are welcome
ApophisV Posted September 17, 2004 great work so far!!! :D but you should make the head larger, both higher and wider
DoubleT Posted September 17, 2004 hmmm maybe the legs are to long?
jonfett Posted September 17, 2004 Looks good jipay. But I think you should make the legs a bit smaller or make the torso and head slightly bigger. But not too much. Jon.
ImperialJohn Posted September 17, 2004 Might I propose that you make a 1x2 plate as reference. It is so much easier to make the right proportions in a square model. Then just pile up 12 of your 1x2's (The hight of a minifig!) 5 for the legs, 4 for torso and 3 for head :$
clecle Posted September 17, 2004 Great idea Imp John, i'll think of making this ! I didn't knew about the 12 squarres high, that's really interrsting !

ApophisV Posted September 17, 2004 1. The head is has same diameter as torso top !! as i told you, jipay... :P john, is this only a mlcad model or have you exported it to any other 3D program?
ImperialJohn Posted September 18, 2004 Only MLCAD. And snapshots from different angles.
Jipay Posted September 18, 2004 Yes otherwise I would have export directly the models form mlcad into 3d program but that's not possible. Sorry Jon, I was on cl

Jipay Posted September 18, 2004 Yes, thanks to Imp John, I have good proportions. I will build one minifig and then I'll head to the helmet (head to the helmet mhh :P ). After this I will have digitalised minifigs so it's good for the project Apo and me are willing to do.
