Time to hit the hyperdrive, bake the boosters and join Bricks on a sci-fi mission. This month we enter into the world of the future, as we explore the darkest corners of the universe in search of those extra-planetary creations. Mechs, machines and spaceships play a vital role in the rich fabric of LEGO sci-fi, all of which we look to celebrate.

As the year speeds towards another instalment from the Star Wars franchise, the logical first stop is a look at the newly-released Rogue One offering. Loaded with some of the best minifigures yet these new craft are worthy of your attention and who better to show you round than secret agent Chris Pearce. Join our Star Wars stalwart as he examines and explains the roles these new characters and vehicles will play in the expanding universe before heading off to give you the full lowdown on Star Wars Rebels and Freemaker Adventures ranges.

The world of Sci-fi continues as Bricks delves into the world of mechs. A popular genre that can spawn the most amazing mechanical creations and with ace builder Marco Marozzi on hand to guide you through the dos and dont’s spawning a two-legged mechanoid has never been easier. Also inspiration South Korean-based Simmon Kim has compiled a selection of his ten best mech creations.

On top of all this sci-fi goodness, we have the second part of our interview with Rod Gillies as we talk about his latest DK Books release and travel to a galaxy far away to visit Luigi Priori, as he illustrates the adventures of Benny the Spaceman on his remote outpost. Peter Reid takes us through the evolution of his Space Turtle and its ever-growing arsenal and has included a set of free instructions, exclusive to Bricks, to make the new heavy cannon version.

Even James Pegrum is getting in on the Space vibe, as he shows us how to greeble a hangar. In Club Creations, Swebrick shows us its bobblehead creations while Li Li gives us a tutorial on fencing techniques.

There’s reviews, masterclass builds, collecting guides and much, much more.

With 124 pages packed full of inspirational models and exclusive features Bricks is the premier LEGO fan magazine.
