LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Recommended Posts

This thread collects everything we know about 2017 LEGO Star Wars sets; discuss these sets here! Please read before posting:

  • Stay on target topic. stayontarget.gif
  • No wishlists. Remember that this topic is for discussing sets that are rumored to come in 2017. If it's something you wish to see or something you think that we'll see sometime in the future, but not something that's actually rumored to be a 2017 set, then it's pure speculation and it belongs in the Future Star Wars Sets topic. (We also have a topic for minifigs you want to see, which might be more appropriate.)
  • No fighting.
  • You post fabricated information; you can expect to be banned. It's not worth the fifteen minutes of Internet fame.
  • Do not post watermarked or confidential images; they will be removed and the poster will be dealt with appropriately. As stated in our Member Guidelines:
    Sinner said:

If you find an image of a new LEGO set and it is incredibly blurry or stamped "Confidential", it is a leak-please don't post it here. If you are uncertain, PM a member of the staff for guidance and include a link to the questionable material.

This topic is for 2017 rumors, not 2018. We will make a new topic when we feel it is necessary. If your post was there, and then it's not...there's a good chance it was either hidden or moved; it was either off topic or was placed in the wrong thread.

Thank you!

This will be our new policy going forward. If you did not agree with us in the past, so be it. From this point on, we will not police the threads unless something becomes an issue. We ask that members not minimod in the thread and tell others to use spoiler tags. If something is a problem, please inform the mods by reporting it. Any questions, please ask in the appropriate thread.

Thanks, now go look at some cool stuff!

Yoda's hut for 2017? Sounds too good to be true, but I'll buy it if it indeed gets made. This set will probably include ep 5 Luke as well. Btw any idea when we'll start hearing rumors about January 2017 wave, it usually September- October correct?

You mean this thing?

Good grief- that is by far and away the worst build yet to come with that magazine. Nobody would even know what it was supposed to be if it wasn't labelled.

Good news (if true) about the system scale Yoda set though. Where did this intel come from?

Finally an updated Yoda's hut set. Well, I hope it's true. It could open up the possibilities for more TESB sets (no more Hoth please, some good Cloud City would be nice. I don't like this year's Carbon freezing chamber.)

That sounds excellent. It's good to see Lego are finally taking an interest in Dagobah again after what feels like an eternity.

I certainly hope they stray away from the "Freezing Chamber" style sets and try and design something more complex.

I do hope we get an X-Wing with this.

People, please try to put yourself in my situation:

I came here, page 367, and see you all talking about a new's Yoda's hut. Then, I go like a headless chiken to the 366, and see that it's just a polybag for the magazine.

Probably, my worst experience here in my 5 years.

PS: But I will get the polybag anyway

With the current pricing trend I shudder to think how expensive a Yoda's hut set with an X-Wing would be... I'd prefer a small set.

Yoda's hut with the cave and a knobby white spider would be fantastic. A T-65 would be great too, but a well-built scene model would suit me just fine.

If the Yoda hut is true, I'm hoping for a slightly updated Yoda, Luke in fatigues, ghost Ben Kenobi, and the obligatory R2 in the $40-50 weight class. Just enough bricks for a hut and maybe a small creature or two. No X-Wing required.

Read it all over again, he said the polybag was not the set he was talking about. Don't worry we're all excited for it!

Ghost Kenobi will be the absolute icing on the cake! Surely there aren't any other options minifigure wise? Yoda and R2 are a given - if we get a Bespin Luke too it would be a dream set!

Dagobah Luke makes more sense. Save Bespin Luke for the next Cloud City set.

Glad to hear Yoda's Hut is finally getting a long overdue update.

Honestly a updated Yoda's Hut, Cloud City, and a UCS AT-AT is al we need to compete The Empire Strikes Back. Exited for the set.

I think the problem with any Degoaba setting is that it's almost impossible to get interesting minigift we haven't just got updates on, I'm not dying to get any new version of either Yoda, Luke or R2. For me, the only exciting thing would be a dragon snake, swamp monster or something similar...

List of exotic creatures or characters that could be included: Dagobah's flying bat, the thing that swalloed R2, Darth Luke. X-Wings are pretty much out of the list, winter waves are smaller sets. Ghost Obi Wan would get me to buy this instantly, but I hope the hut is nice too :)

I'd be nice if the hut included Luke's camp with that lizard snake water monster everyone is talking about whose name I cannot recall off the top of my head (Also too lazy to get on wookipedia! ) Then again, they did have a Komodo dragon on Dagobah along with some pythons and other snakes if I remember right. Admit it, you want a lego Komodo Dragon as much as I do.
