They're called headrails, and yes, they are allowed. :)

You're also allowed to put your figurehead on a ship to see how it looks.

Are you asking if it's allowed for YOU to be a lobster or for your entry to be a lobster? :-D

I have something in mind for this and it's not even a brick beast this time.

However I am going to be a lobster! :-P

I'll have some entry photos up as soon as I get these rubber bands off of my claws.

It should be suitable for a minifig scale ship. But the figurehead can be larger that a minifig.

Maybe that was not cristal clear from the description. I re-wrote that part a bit.

Well, this contest was INSPIRED by your IDEA. A contest with the aim to build ONLY Unicorn figureheads wouldn't work that well I think... But something tells me there will be someone who'll build a Unicorn figurehead ;-) .

1. Does it have to be attached to a ship? If not, I'll make a stand.

2. Can I use my Technic/Bionicle? No, it won't be a silly mask attatched to a log. But it'll probably be big-ish.

It doesn't have to be attached to a ship.

And you can use whatever official Lego parts you want.

Go for it ;-)

Maybe you should enter, it's just a simple figure head!

And why don't you post comments on the current ones, or are you too sad of being a poor hunted albino seal :[.
