Future Star Wars Sets

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

for a future SW set my wish is a... UCS Probot : I always loved this "droid" and the way it moves in ESB. It might be great with lights & sounds(?)!A big black Probot on a display with electric stuff!!! Ok, I'm a weirdo  (the sun in the south of France maybe...)

as much as i hope your wish can be fulfilled, i doubt this will be produced as it will start leading to UCS of many other droids/characters/creatures, etc...

You mean like statues of Yoda and Grievous and busts of Darth Maul?

yes. imho, i would prefer UCS to be of Star Wars vehicles/ships rather than figures.

I agree, but the Griveous one was superb, almost fully poseable, far better than the busts : for me this kind of statues  are useless and IMO not very accurate. But a Probot would be great!

TLG should make more statues to go with Grievous 1 for every Sith in the films and CW: Maul, Dooku, Ventress, Savage, Grievous, Vader, and Sidious, and maybe Starkiller. Poseable statues of evil.

(PS: I know that 4 out of that list technical aren't Sith .)

I think they should make a remake of the cantina. With more rooms and a land speeder out front. With Luke, Chewbacca, Han, Greedo, Obi-Wan, Imperial Spy, and 2 Sandtroopers.

Also i've always wanted a Genosian Arena set with the 3 pillars and the arena monsters, the little stand with Count Dooku and Jango Fett with all the other characters.

I would like to see lego doing "riot clone troopers" with red markings, shield and stun batons.

It could be a great coruscant battlepack with 2 of them and 2 senate commandos (one of them should be a captain).

I doubt that a $11 pack would be able to include all the "boutry hunters" and something substantial enough to keep Hasbro quiet.

TLG wouldn't do this. Battlepacks are for army building. They'd be mad to sell something like the bounty hunters for £10/$11, rather than put them in a range of sets for £50/$60+. Plus you'd only ever need to buy 1 battlepack as you wouldn't need more than one IG-88, etc.

Agreed. I highly doubt TLG would ever do BPs using main characters or characters easily distinguished by their faces. Thus far, only Zev Senesca has been named in a BP, and his face is really just a generic pilot's face.

Well we have a BP with all Mandos in, and another with all Assassin Droids in so a Trandosian BP with Bohsk in might work. However there where 6 BH in Empire and two would require a new mold, and having 6 figs in a BP wont happen. It seems to have stabilised at 4 figs now. Also a vehicle is needed to keep Hasbro happy and one vehicle between 6 figs wouldn't really work.

However we do need 4-LOM and the other one in a set soon. (like the 2012 rumour Jabbas Palace).

Hehe, remember last year when there were rumors of TLC switching to three figs?

And the other bounty hunter your refering to is Zuckuss.

I'm not sure how well that would sell, because, really, how many people will want an army of Magnaguards? It'd be like the Assassin Droid BP, and we all know how well that sold.

I think we should make something clear for when we make suggestions: Battle packs with minifigs in them that you wouldn't want an army of won't sell well. Whether it be troopers that don't make up armies or characters with distinct faces that you wouldn't want multiples of in one scene, they're much less likely to happen. Those ideas mostly stem from a desire for a cheap way to get lots of rarer minifigs, so they'd be better suited as ideas for smaller sets in the $20-$30 price range.

so unrealistic ideas. You cant ask a vehicle, platform and 10 minifigs with new molds for like 50$

So true.

In response to Brickdoctor's comment, I remember wishing for an X-34 re-release as a good opportunity to get more Tusken Raider minifigures... and being disappointed when that didn't happen with 8092.

Ah, 'manga gaurds'...

Well I would not mind 1 in a battle pack with some normal battle droids and a Super battle droid again. It has been along time since we had battle droids and super ones in a BP. I think it is about time we had them again as the last time was in a Ep3 BP! Well before the CW cartoon. :classic:

But it's still a realistic idea. Certainly more realistic than a Tusken BP. (though that itself would be more realistic than the ever-present wished-for Jedi BP)

But then it would be a Battle Droid BP, not a Magnaguard BP. 'Magnaguard BP' implies a BP primarily comprised of Magnaguards.

And don't forget the droideka this time...

With the 30th anniversary of Jedi in '12, I'm still waiting for that AT-ST with Ewok Trap and Stormtroopers set that would kill three birds with one stone.

I'd like to see more podracers get released each year like the Hoth sets do. Gasgano, Mawhonic and Alder Beedo need their pods updated to go with the new Anakin and Sebulba ones plus a few new ones wouldn't hurt. There's plenty of options for good minifigures too besides the racers - Poncho Qui-Gon, Shmi, C-3PO without the plating, Kitster, the blue Twilek twins, the race announcers, updated Jabba, TPM Bib Fortuna - even another Jar Jar or Padme wouldn't hurt.

Actually, magnaguard battlepack is an awesome idea. We need them for our grievous.

Exactly. We'd buy them to guard the Grievouse minifig. And how many BPs would it take to make an escort of guards? One? Two, maybe three in extreme circumstances? Certainly not as many as an army of other troops would require. TLG wants you to build armies with their BPs, because armies require lots of purchases. Magnaguards do not make up armies.

We got the Ewok trap set. Sort of.
