  1. In the sets we might have all of our beloved main characters, like Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Rex, Bullseye, Slinky Dog, Hamm, the Aliens, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and so on. When the trailer releases, I'll have more thoughts on sets. More characters: Mr. Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup, and a bunch of others.
  2. "The Crash at Crater Canyon (part 1)" is a thrilling two-part episode of the 1950s / 60s TV series Woody's Roundup. In this episode, Jessie the yodeling cow-girl is knocked out by Prospector Stinky Pete, as she had discovered Pete's plans for Sheriff Woody and the town he protects via the mine tunnels under the town filled with dynamite and nitroglycerin, set to blow up high noon the next day to destroy the town in a giant sinkhole. Jessie is then placed unconscious on a steam loco which is uncoupled from it's train and sent hurtling uncontrollably through the wilderness to Crater Canyon, where it will meet the Cannonball passenger train on the bridge. (Thus destroying the only fast way to town and keeping Jessie out of the way for the town to explode with Woody saving Jessie and not in town to stop Pete's plan.) Naturally, Woody rides out on his horse (Bullseye) to save Jessie, who has at this point woken up and discovered the throttle lever missing and steam loco's brakes disconnected. This episode ends with this scene above: Jessie reaching for Bullseye and Woody while both trains are barreling towards each other and certain destruction, while the timer on the clock in town square ticks ever closer to noon. What happens in the next episode will never be known, as the show was pulled from the airways as the film office where the future episodes and unfinished scripts were kept burned to the ground, destroying all the un-aired episodes. It is assumed, though, that Woody rescues Jessie, stops the town from exploding, and jails Pete all before the credits roll. The real scene takes place on my Eads bridge with engines 2 and 3, plus the passenger train for the latter loco. The yellow steamer is not even finished: the side not shown is missing one wheel and moving piston and was carefully staged to hide this fact! The story behind the picture is 100% fake, as the Woody's Roundup only exists in Disney / Pixar "Toy Story" films. (specifically the second one) I tried using every to make the story sound believable for that era of TV it was set in, such at the middle 1950's to early 60s when Howdy Doody and Westerns in general were very popular. What do you guys think?
  3. I'm amazed there isn't already a discussion topic for this, but yea, let's use this thread to talk Pixar films and related things. Personally, I love most Pixar films. Y'all probably know that the Toy Story series is my favorite trilogy of films. The next Pixar film coming out is Monsters University, which is Pixar's first prequel film. There is also talks of Finding Nemo 2 coming out in the near future. But, I particularly started this topic today as news just came out that the Cars spinoff, Planes, has been announced to be released in theaters on August 9th, 2013. It's kind of ironic as this is not going to be a film produced by Pixar. I will not be looking forward to Planes after the disaster that was Cars 2. Oh, and I really wonder if they'll make Planes LEGO sets.
  4. NOTE FOR PEOPLE IN THE ALTANTA AREA: we can arrange for pick up/delivery in the N.E. Atlanta area - by Sugerloaf Mills, Gwinnett Place, etc. For various reasons I have decided to sell off the bulk of my LEGO collection. I've been into LEGO, as an Adult, for about 16 or 17 years now, and I've continued buying the sets I wanted all those years despite the fact I have no place to show them off after I've built them. I had always hoped I'd eventually have room to build out city displays, Harry Potter displays, castle displays, Star Wars displays... I also bought extras a few sets because they were army builders, or I thought they'd make great presents (which some of them have). I can't bring myself to sell it all, but I'm starting with my new sets because I obviously was preferring the ones I actually opened and built. Some of the sets have been de-boxed and stored in plastic "shoe" boxes (or larger plastic boxes). It's a vast minority, and ANYTHING unusual about the set - if it's been opened, de-boxed, or otherwise will be noted in the list. I'm basing my asking prices on the Bricklink North American six months sale average, and then taking a percentage off that. I will try to keep shipping low, but shipping is on the buyer - I can de-box to keep shipping lower, if desired. Some of these sets are quite large and heavy, and I may need packaging. I will NOT EVER ask for more than it costs to package and ship, and I have a great deal of boxes and packaging material already that I won't charge for (IOW, I won't ask you for anything I can't show a receipt for). 5. I was currently thinking to acquire all the Toy Story set (or at least minifigs) and with Toy Story 4 announced for 2018, I was thinking maybe I should wait to get my favorites childhood characters for cheaper if they release new sets with the upcoming movie? Do you think it’s likely to happen? Do you see any reason LEGO would not try to get that license? Often I wish I was out of my dark ages earlier (or that I just never had any).
  6. Hi Everyone, I went to BRICK 2015 over the weekend and purchased a set I have been after for a long time, Toy Story: Woody's Roundup. Now i bought it mainly for the MF's but there a quite a few pieces missing, most of which I can easily replace. My problem is the SHERIFF sticker is missing, does anyone have any advice on how I could an acquire a new sticker, seeing as its an old set? Or should I just accept I wont be able to replace it? Thanks for any advice in advance!

  8. Hello, I wanted to upload my 15+ vehicles from the 1940's to today in a way that was quick and efficient, thus this thread is about getting the pictures out with side notes structured like this: (picture goes here) 19## yellow semi truck Built 20## Inspired by set ####, known as "Insert set name" LDD file: (if available) LDD missing parts / prints You are free to comment, but please note: the remaining 10 or so vehicles are (going to be) in another topic, because they are more Adventurer's / 1920's themed. I would also appreciate a mod indexing these MOCs in their respective topics. Also, please note these were taken by me and a family member with a cellphone camera, so please take that into consideration with the picture quality / cropping. I also only took one picture per vehicle. 9. Pizza Planet Truck from Cars by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Hi everyone. This is just a quick build I did recently and thought I'd share it. It's a recreation of Todd the Pizza Planet truck from Pixar's Cars movies. Here's a reference image: Here's a picture of the back. It didn't really come out as detailed as I had hoped, but it was hard to do without decals at this scale. Pizza Planet Truck from Cars by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr I hope you like it. Feel free to comment.
