  1. The Grand Review of the Armies was a military procession and celebration in Washington, D.C. on May 23–24, 1865 following the Union victory in the American Civil War. Elements of the Union Army paraded through the streets of the capital to receive accolades from the crowds. Additional photo:
  2. *Your entry has earned 12 XP* Nexus City, Historical District The people of Entralla, citizens of the Pentastar Alignment, have a colorful culture and a rich tapestry of myths. They believe in thousands of spirits, good and bad, that represent different parts of life, and that people go to be with those spirits when they pass away. The people's favorite time of year is the Lunar Night, the annual occasion when they celebrate the Parade of Ghosts. During the Parade of Ghosts, the people march through the streets carrying purple lanterns and wearing masks and singing songs of celebration to make the spirits feel welcome and invite them to mingle among the crowds. They all hope that when their ancestors arrive with the other spirits, they will pass by their family homes and leave behind a blessing. The adults hope for luck, health, and good fortune, the sorts of things kids don't care much about, so children are given toys and presents, which they're told are gifts from their ancestors. Thanks for looking!
  3. Parade Route QV13.1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr As Captain Brickford was making his way back from Fort Annetta, he was drawn to a commotion on a sectioned off portion of road. QV13.2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr After asking some of the bystanders what was going on, he discovered that it was a graduating parade for the 1st Quinnsville Dragoons of a nearby military academy. QV13.3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr These new graduates would serve alongside the 1st Quinnsville Fusiliers and together keep the Pearl of Cocovia safe! Here is a large Arts & Culture for Quinnsville! I've wanted to make some Dragoons for quite some time (as with all things military!). As usual, C&C are welcome and appreciated and more builds to come!
  4. "Johnny, why are you still working here in the office? You should be outside with everyone else watching the parade!" scolded James Hendricks. "If you don't leave these books for later, and go out right now I am going to have to fire you." James smiled as Johnny Martin, his young clerk, immediately vacated the office to grab his pennant in the storage room, before scrambling out the front door to see the parade that was already passing by. James is the business manager of the WETEC office in Elizabethville. The Elizabethville office is second only to the Arlinsport office in volume of work and sales. Though he is a shrewd business man who requires detailed and perfect work out of all his employees, James is not one to deprive a young man from the joy of the holidays. The New Year is just beginning and Elizabethville has decided to put on a parade that will travel down the length of its main street, all the way down to Fort di Legno near the docks. Many different people have joined the parade, and most of the rest of the town is crowding the walkways watching. First, came the marines, marching in their perfect order. They were stationed on the boat Octavia that is anchored in the bay. Following behind them are the bagpipes of the Corrish highlands playing their sweet but haunting tunes. Following them on horseback are several of the WETEC Light Cavalry. Following the cavalry, is a most peculiar site. A very tall man is walking by juggling balls. All the kids are in awe of his height, though whispers among the adults about a gadget called stilts has intrigued several who heard the whispers. Following the juggler is an equally peculiar site. A small cart being pulled by a yoke of... pigs! The driver must be skilled indeed to handle pigs so well. Oh, it is a monkey not a man driving the pigs. What a bizarre site to behold. So bizarre in fact that most people missed the man walking behind the pig-monkey cart as if he was in charge of it. The parade goes on with all sorts of fun and peculiar sites. People have moved from all over the old world to settle in this new colony. Many who have settled here, like the bagpipers of the highlands, have brought their own customs and traditions that they continue to follow. Together, all these customs and traditions are mixing into one town and colony that creates exciting holidays indeed.

MOC - Día de Muertos Parade

A Día de Muertos Parade in honor of the dead, though more in the style of the one from James Bond than actual Día de Muertos celebrations. This one is for my Ancestors
  6. After the overwhelming victory, a grand Flag Parade was held at Sultan's Gate - with guests from all parts of the world. The victorious troops marched by His Majesty, flowers covering the ground. General Ra and the famous Mounted Ostrich Archers (the Desert King's elite forces) led the parade. ... followed by Al Giwemm Fahia who carefully demonstrated his Staff of Flames as he crossed the Blue Water Bridge - just behind him the famous sorceress Kleotete: Lady Phlici, now engaged, could be spotted amongst the spectators next to another general. The First Mummy Warriors Corps were carrying blue flowers from Petraea, well almost all of them... The crowd was excited and cheerful: The Flying Carpet Corps had their big moment too: Musicians played tunes that were written especially for the occasion... .. .and a splendid time was guaranteed for all. C&C welcome. This is the largest set (128x32) I have build in this challenge and it was difficult enough to take decent pictures. I hope they worked out well in their smaller format. I have tried to include bits and pieces from all previous MOCs in the scene. You may also want to find out how many monkeys and how many jugglers are included . Or animals...
  7. If they were to just start this year, I would say they should have an Emmet Balloon. A float with giant moving Technic parts would be fun too.
  8. A Plastic Infinity

    Dinotopian Parade

This is the largest, most impressive, expensive, detailed and amazing MOC I've ever made! I have been working on it for a while, and am extremely proud of it. There are larger images on my Flickr photostream, please come and take a look! Click here to see the helicoid geochronograph at work! As I already mentioned, there are a lot of small details, so look carefully. Please tell me what you think, it would mean a lot to me because I am super excited about this!
