  1. Previously: A: The Bull's Eye B: River encounter C: The Siege of Falconstone Now Davok has finished his whole story, the Mitgardian commanders that gathered in the armory on Glorfindel's command, also joined, together with the Falcon spy that handed Davok to the council. Sir Glorfindel spoke first. "So, this is how the king died, and you are a convict in this. but how is this so important for this moment, for you know as good as we do that we have to muster our forces as soon as we are allowed to." "Its that mage, milord. I didnt know his name at that time, but I DO know the name now. And it matches all together milord, the description, the timing, everything." "Could you please tell me the name, because we are quite in a hurry, im afraid!" "Raavage sir. The mage who killed the king, who hired us. It was lord Raavage." Now, every attendant started to talk at once. "SILENCE!" The voice of sir Glorfindel rose firmly above the others, without any need to shout. "Thank you milady", Glorfindel smiled, as he turned his head to the girl in the falcon tunic. "It seems you have delivered us a spire rebel!" Nemayra, the spy, made a little bow. "Alas I was not in time to get reinforcements, all I could do was warning our city..." "So, what to do with this man? How about we execute him and..." "SIR!", Davok tried to say another thing. "Milord this was not all! I could not prevent the death of the king, but I saw something, and gave my commanders orders to distract the view of the mages. During the aftermath of the battle, someone tried to escape from the city. It was a woman, her clothes told us she was with the king before. Milord, she.., she..." Davok had gotten their full attention now. "she carried a baby. She made it out, we covered her. The baby was carried away." Now Nemayra's eyes lit up. "She made it? But milord, that was the Queen's nurse, with the heir! I know where they were heading for!", and she whispered something to Glorfindel, a bit affraid of the other attendants. Immediatly Sir Glorfindel made up its mind. "Athron! you will lead the army. Layra, you and the Guard will go on a task force to Kaliphlin. We have a chance to unite. To unite all of Historica, once more. "Davok, you will join command of this taskforce to proof yourself. You might have done treacherous things, fact is, you successfully laid siege to one of the Plain's greatest cities. We need every good commander we can get. You can take a select few of your best men as well. Nemayra, you will lead their way." Both women now protested. Layra: "You want me to share command with this suspect of High Treason? Milord!" From the side of Nemayra, there were some words about having an enemy amidst them, as well. But Glorfindel gave one last command. "Mitthral! Send word to the Dragon Masters in Avalonia. The heir has been found!" l to r: Davok (my sigfig), Sir Glorfindel (SoccerKid), Colonel Athron, General Layra, Captain Mitthral, a Mitgardian infantrist in standard outfit, and Falcon-scout Nemayra I got myself some green/yellow minifig arms and oh I love them! :)
  2. First of all: im pretty angry cause I just wrote this entire story, posted it and somehow the topic wasnt created . Please look at my flickr for more pics, couldnt include them all without having a huge post ^^ Davok: "Finally we saw the walls of Falconstone loom on the horizon. We had gotten two more compagnons, two magicians. I didnt trust them, not for even the slightest bit. One of them was an Algus, so then already you should think whats wrong. The second was some wolf-like creature, or maybe raven-like, but unlike something I have ever seen before. Everything black, sharp teeth, yellow eyes. Not the sort of stuff you wanna deal with. He was identified as our questgiver, and had some name I forgot. Its some synonym of Havoc, I dunno exactly." "As soon as we arrived, we went to set up our camp, and we started tunneling as soon as possible, out of sight from the wall, for the vision was blocked by our palissade. The black magician had decreed that we would tunnel to some secret room beneath the main tower, for our target would be there. He would take care of the target after we tunneled, and he and his fellow mage would help our main force to fake the siege and repel sorties." "Well, those sorties came sooner than expected. From the west Falco's ever-annoying cavalry came charging in, while from the east the Falcon Infantry was approaching. We struggled quite a lot while getting shot upon by fire arrows and bolts. Those arrows set one of our shields aflame, i wish we had made more of them to protect our archers... Luckily my men were capable and we could quite repel the attack, but everywhere were signs of dead bulls and...." "Come to your point, please", responded the Mitgardian commander "Well, this mage blew apart Falco 'n his men, I swear. But then we heard news from Tauro, who was dealing with the infantry. Some of the men were wearing King's crest on their armor. It appeared that they were King's guard. So, as one and one is two right, the King was here, and he was our target then, but we didnt know he was here. So we didnt know, you got me?" "We heard word of our tunnelers that the mage should get ready to enter the room. From then, it was only shouting, a flash of light, and then our man came back and said everything was collapsing right there. The king was dead, the mage disappeared, and we saw almost no one get out of the mess. So we went home, as soon as we could, with whatever forces we had left.
  3. Previously in the story: Bull's Eye (Prelude) This still takes place long before Raavage Davok: "We gathered our forces rather quick, and then marched for Falconstone. The supply train would arrive later, 'cause I wanted my vanguard to move freely.". "We were only halfway through the Frozen River fords, when some riders blocked our path." Unpleasant encounter (1) by David de Rijke, on Flickr "Three riders from unknown origin where standing in the river. One of them was their leader, obviously. He seemed to be some sort of wizard scum, given his hat and his staff from which icy sparks were coming. Never liked this kind.. The worst part, was their faces. They did not seem to have any..." "The wizard could speak, however. Immediatly when we saw these fellows, I raised my shield and took a defensive position. I saw my men do the same while my chieftains looked at me what to do. But the wizard told us about that messenger I spoke at the Bull's Eye. He said they were sent to help us. They lowered their weapons to prove it. I started to get an uneasy feeling about this whole mission. Who was our client, and why did he venture with wizards of this kind? Might he be some sort of wizard himself? And WHO is this stranger, if his value is so big these... powers... are sent in to deal with it?"
  4. Building for the Spire read first: For days now they had been marching through the mountains. Yvern had found a pretty large group of Bulls willing to join them, after talking to Davok. Now the expedition, under formal lead of Thornn and Spyrus, and Davok and Yvern, was crossing the Kyrrath Mountains. Tonight they could rest in the ruins of an ancient abandoned Orc fortress, Khazrat. Yet when they came closer, there was an unusual stench in the air. Spyrus and Davok went on, while the rest halted. When they neared the entrance to the fortress, Spyrus said: "This is Orc-scent. That would be that Resistance regiment. See? He didn't wipe them out, filthy Yudha. "How did you call me?" An unwelcome but familiar face appeared above them, just outside the gate the ruins of Khazrat Spyrus: "Why... what... what are you doing here?" Yudha: "Easy...helping my new friends to prevent some impetuous young men from assisting the spire... They pay me well enough" Davok: "Treacherous scum... Is mony indeed all you are after?" Yet Yudha disappeared through the gate. Davok: "The fortress will be occupied. Yet there is no way back now. The fortress doors have rotten away over time, so our best chances are to rush in..", and he shouted a signal. Immediatly the whole expedition started to run, with their weapons ready, not knowing where the enemy might appear... the ruins of Khazrat the ruins of Khazrat the ruins of Khazrat the ruins of Khazrat So, I have been working on this for a pretty long time: I wanted to hit some birds with one stone: I wanted to make ruins, and to make a round tower. I am pretty happy with the architecture of the (front) wall and the tower, yet they don't really get the attention they deserve in this build, I think. The tower has an half collapsed part, and the wall has some chunk out of it, made with different slope bricks.

    Proof of power

I realized it is 1st of may today. Do not expect too much here, this is an older build collab with my 10y/o brother, I tried some building techniques here (walls that are a half stud deeper, orange wall/ 'toilet') and was left with too little time and bricks to finish it, But I brought my minifigs and prepared this castle for a quick story before the due date :D I just agreed at the homefront that I'll need a better camera and that I will make a lego studio somewhere. My next build will be small and detailed instead of big and too little bricks:) I tried to edit these pictures but I fail with photoshop :) So, enough self-negativity and I hope you like the story progressing :D Oh by the way, I finally purchased some flags in the ríght colors (green/yellow), so now I can show my own allegiance as well. Part one Swearing Allegiance Bull's Eye Fortress After the arrival of the strangers, it was done with the quiet in the Bull's Eye. 'My king, the men are not happy with your decision. They don't trust these strangers, and some are preaching to revolt.' With these words Davok disturbed Ryban in his private room. Ryban stood there, gazing to his weapons hanging on the wall, where first the picture of his wife shined, before she disappeared. They looked outside, and indeed, it seemed like the assembled men grew angry. Some abused the fact they had to muster to speak to all the Bulls at once. Then, suddenly, the guards all blew their trumpets. A band of warriors was sighted, heading to the fortress. They carried Kaliphlin banners. The envoy from Nocturnus saw them, and they headed to the gate, shouting that these men came for them, and thus they would deal with them. While his guard prepared his axe, the envoy seemed like he was channeling something. Flames seemed to grew from his hands, and from the inside of the walls sounded yells, both terrifying and enthousiastic shouts. Then he put his hands together, and a beam of flames was aimed towards the attackers, creating a fiery zone before their feet. None of them was burned, nonetheless. They turned around and started to run, apparently it was not that good an idea to invade this fortress. Loud cheers sounded from the battlements, as the Bulls saw they could trust these strangers. Davok realized that all of the invaders had seemed quite northern, none of them had a tan colored skin. Also, the envoy said he knew the attackers even before he could see in that direction. Something seemed wrong here, somehow he had the idea there was something going on... Post was too large, More pictures:
  6. I realized Davok and his 'men' did not really have an introduction yet. I am busy building a fortress where a story takes place, yet I made an introduction for the Bull clan first. Credits for the quotes aren't mine, obviously, yet the story is inspired by them :) My plot will be a bit isolated, so there is little clashing with the official story :) (Spoiler: there might come a larger battle, but just pretend, after the story, that it did not take place) The Bulls are a clan of warriors in the northern mountains. They are led by their selfstyled 'king', who sits upon is wooden chair in Bull's Eye Fortress. You will meet him next build. I, Davok Shieldbasher, am the captain of the warriors, and lead them into battle where that spoiled brat can't. Note: I did not say we are the good guys, nor that I am the good guy, nor that there exists something like a good guy. Be warned. Davok: "We were the warriors of the North," "Notorious and brave" "We'd never lost a fight in war, we feared not the grave" to be continued... whole build, almost forgotten
