[LDD MOC] Coroner - 22 gun brig

LDD/MLCad 14B Thus the day has come, mates. The sea is calling, gulls have already lost their voices trying to cry out our names. The sea is calling, and once you hear this call, you lose a part of your own soul - perhaps the best part of it. Sea relishes your soul in its bottomless throat like a breath of a fragrant captain grog. Sea is always hungry and often it's not against the idea of devouring your flesh too. Let it be another day! With the greatest of pleasure I proudly present to you this brig, the pearl of my shipyards. Its high speed and maneuverability allow to conduct battle with larger vessels and successfully overtake smaller ships. The lightness of the hull allows this beauty to rush through the waves like see cheetah. 22 cannons can guarantee - no enemy will leave unpunished! You can find the ship here: Thanks for watching!
  2. Mystery Skulls Ghost - Lewis by The Mugbearer, on Flickr An attempt to create a ghastly host of the haunted house from lovely animated clip Ghost by Mystery Skulls, also known as Lewis and the saddest ghostly skeleton I’ve ever met. Reference.
  3. Hi I have Lego Digital Designer 4.3, (latest version, latest brickset - However when I am In there and try to save a model it then crashes after I type the filename and hit enter. It does save it but when I click on it, LDD says it cannot open the file. If I cick on an pre existingLXF file, LDD opnes for a second then crashes. I recently "upgraded" to mac OSX 10.10.1 so maybe this has something to do with it? I tried installing LDD again but it does not help. Please help!
  4. This classic 90's LEGO-styled model was originally built in 2007 by a Brickshelf user named "Widdi". That user uploaded the instructions (seen here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=249223 ) which I stumbled upon and built / modified in Lego Digital Designer. I put another story on top for the tower, set furniture inside, added a back half, and worked a garage into the structure. The Sinister Mansion: Where you will never want to leave! Fictional Background for the house: Built in 1910, Sinister Manor is one of the last surviving houses in the Edwardian Style of architecture in Ironwood county. It was built by Lord Gregory Sinister for his family, and features one addition not usually seen on Edwardian houses: a automobile garage. The house was left to Gregory's family, (his son Sam Sinister & his sister Alexis Sinister) upon the elder Sinister's death of a stroke in 1913. Sam Sinister went on to serve in the British army in World War I, losing his left hand in the conflict and replacing it with a iron hook. When he returned from the conflict Sam set about continuing his fathers tradition: collecting treasure precious artifacts, through legal and illegal means. The collection was stored in the Attic of the sinister Mansion until it became too large and was moved to a more secure (and secret) location. The inside features the furniture from my Haunted House (10228) MOD, including (but not limited to): a Queen size bed, stove, table, phonograph, sidetable with lamp plus the couch. The first floor I has the living / dining rooms, as the couch, stove and table and other associated items are there. The second floor features the master bedroom with a small balcony on the right side. The third floor is the attic, which is empty. The tower / roof (fourth floor) is also empty. The Rear of the house. This model is significantly cheaper / less parts intensive than my other Victorian Mansion (the one based off the Monster Fighter's "Haunted House") This car, the Ogel Mark III, goes in the garage. Here are the cars statistics: Model Name: Ogel MK III Configuration: two seat Engine Class: V8 Designer: Lord Ogel Build Date: 1925 Builder: Ogel Motor Car Works Current Owner: Lord Sam Sinister Length: 21 studs Width: 6 studs Height: 5 bricks Top Speed: 88 MPH Fictional background for the car: After the Orient Expedition of 1924, Lord Sam Sinister's Island Racer was seized by Soviet (Russian) forces when Sinister tried bribing his way onto the Trans-Siberian express without the proper papers. Sinister was put on the next train out of Russia without the car. In early 1925 he boarded the Simplon-Orient Express bound for Paris from Istanbul. While in Paris he telephoned the Ogel Motor Car Corporation asking for a newer, faster and more expensive car to be sent to his home at Sinister Manor in three weeks. Sinister arrived at his Edwardian-style manor to find this car waiting for him. It features two seats, a spare tire, a much longer wheelbase and goes 13 miles per hour faster than his old car. LDD file for the house & car: http://www.mocpages....1416516743m.lxf Comments, questions and complaints welcome!
  5. Hi everyone, Does anyone have an LXF file where all the decals for minifigures are used? Someone here made one with the CMF series 1-11 and many thanks to him/her for that! I made one for the torsos, but I'm struggling identifying all of them (many from Chima, Ninjago, Castle). And doing this for the faces/legs/belts(!) looks impossible. Maybe a decal expert could do this and share the information? Like building the whole minifig which uses those decals - seeing the whole minifig would help identify. Sometimes I'm looking for a fitting belt, a jedi robe or something and with those tiny pictures in the software it is HARD to find anything.

    LDD MOC - 'Matrix' Hovership

Hello again guys. Sorry for being away for a long time. My creative juices have not really been flowing a lot recently.. Anyway, have a look at my newest LDD MOC. It's my interpretation of a Matrix hovership, as seen in the film trilogy. I tried to base this model after the Logos, the ship used by Niobe, Ghost and Sparks from the Enter the Matrix video game. As I was looking to build it in midi-scale, please forgive the model's lack of "pads," because these kinds of hoverships are equipped with numerous pads on the underbelly and sides. Comments/suggestions welcome. Hope you enjoy!

    Greetings from Lego.Ideas

Hi, I'm Anduin1710 and I'm an AFOL from Germany. I was born in East Berlin, this means to get a little LEGO set was always like birthday, x-mas and eastern together! And Lego was always very expensive too. ... I started to buy and collecting Lego, since I found the Lego Minifiures Series 2. I'm very interessed in history, so I found the historical minifigures pritty cool. I like Star Wars too, so I stared to buy some Lego Star Wars sets. I found the Lego Digital Designer to creat my own MOCs on my computer. I'm a big THE LORD OF THE RINGS fan, so I started to build my own LOTR sets. And with the Lego LOTR and THE HOBBIT sets my dream come true. In April 2014 I joined Lego cuusoo (now it is lego ideas) to publish my creations. Here are my projects: You can also visit me on flickr. Thank you for your attention.
  8. Hi all, My friend recently designed a model on LDD and asked me, with my not-so-vast technological knowledge to render the images for him. Sadly, I am currently using a shared computer and the admin has disabled any downloads. Thus, it is impossible for me to install POV-Ray and render the file. I was wondering if there's anyone online who could help me; I only need three simple POV-Ray renders (front, side, and back), nothing too fancy. This is my first post in this forum; Mods, if this isn't allowed, please delete this post! Thanks so much for your help! -AwesomeBantha Camera LDD.lxf

    [WIP] Imperial Shuttle

A little while back, I was working on modding 7166-1 in LDD, which led me to build a new cockpit, which I posted here. Since then, I decided I should make a new body for the shuttle, as the original started to look bad with the new cockpit on it. The project as a whole is a little further along than in the pictures, with custom wings already built, but I thought that some input would be helpful. A few shortcomings that I have encountered so far are that there will likely be no room for any figs, which is a let down. A prime example of why I decided to post here. besides that, the whole building style is very odd, and may not hold up in real life, as there is no physics in LDD. At this point in the build, I'm kinda stuck. Studying the build will be my main priority for now. Until then, here are the pictures! I would add the LDD file, but it is too big for this sites uploader. Any help on that? Front view, showing off the cockpit and the body. The wings aren't attached for now, but will be soon. 3/4 shot, showing off the rest of the body. The top fin area comes straight off the TLG version, but could change in the future. Lastly, the back. I haven't decided what to do about it yet, as I'm not sure of the playability of the model. I may end up adding a door, or just sealing it off. Any C&C welcome, as well as suggestions on how to improve the model.
  10. Just another idea I got while making the LDD animating tutorial. Might be usefull, but generally its shows the hidden capabilities of LDD related to phsyics. Download the LXF here: http://www.bricksafe...gears/gears.lxf
  11. What do I use for rendering LDD files on a Mac? Preferably not LDraw.
  12. For the LDD animation tutorial I made this little wolf along with her divine instrument. For those who dont know the character, here's the art: And here's my version with normal white... And using LDD bug to get super white color: You can find the folder with LDD files here: http://www.bricksafe...ating tutorials

    [LDD MOC] Trolley

Hello. I recently played in a very old game called Sim City 4. And there I saw a small railway car, which quickly went on the rails. Perhaps knowing what I remember. And today I had the idea to create something like that out of Lego. So I built a little car railroad workers. Front view: Back view: With the train: Files to download: https://yadi.sk/d/8lYEW86ecSSuY Thank you! Sorry my bad English.

[MOD] The Ender Dragon from 21117

Hello all! First off, I would like to state that I don't play Minecraft, so my reference material was basically poor quality screengrabs of the Ender dragon from a Google image search. But even though I don't play Minecraft, I couldn't help but be attracted to the Ender Dragon from set 21117. But, after reading VBBN's insightful review on the set, I realised it had problems, and it inspired me to chalk up a slightly more accurate and poseable modification of the Ender Dragon in the set in LDD. This is what I've come up with: Minecraft - The Ender Dragon (21117 mod) by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Basically, gone are most of the hinge plates and they've been replaced with Mixel balljoints to enable more dynamic poses. The legs especially annoyed me as in the previous model, if you bent the legs outwards, the dragon was basically standing on the edges of it's feet, now at least partially fixed by the use of Mixel balljoints. Until the Mixel balljoints are made in black though, black 1x2, 2x2 inverted brackets had to be used in order to maintain more of it's colour homogenity. But the biggest difference is the fact that I have got rid of the flapping wing function in the model and have given it more realistic brick built wings. If you would like to mod your own Ender Dragon to look like this one or use it as a starting point for your own mods, then here is the LDD file for that purpose. All parts do exist, though please be aware that the old style hinges used in the wings either don't exist or are very rare in light bluish gray (but common in the old light grey), and the model should work in real life. Please ignore the random decorations, they were used for the purposes of giving the Ender Dragon it's proper decals in the render. Comments are welcome!

    9v or PF or both?

Hello all! New here to Eurobricks and the whole AFOL Trains community in general. I have noticed that there there are essentially two different train systems the 9v (runs on metal rails using a DC current from a transformer like a normal model railroad) and then Power Functions. I unfortunately don't have any of either to experiment with but I was just thinking would it be possible to merge the two and create a kind of DCC system? (Digital Command Control - current standard for powering and controlling model railroads) What I mean is this, you have the PF system that uses a battery pack, IR or RF receiver to power either a "train motor" or another motor that uses Technick gears etc, to power the wheels. Could not one remove the actual motor from the 9v train motor housing and use the metal wheels as contacts to pass the current through from the metal track to your PF control system? This way you would not have to break your layout into Power Districts and you would be able to run multiple trains on the same line under completely different control. Each train would be controlled by it's unique PF controller yet pulling the same current from the rails. Essentially moving the battery pack from a pack of batteries in the locomotive or tender and placing it in the rails where you no longer have to worry about charging or bringing extra batteries. I haven't been around long enough to see of you guys are doing this yet or not, but just thought I'd throw it out there. As I stated, I unfortunately don't have either system (or trains) to experiment with but will as soon as I have the coin. I recently downloaded LDD and built an MOC that I designed to run in either system or both. I've always been an FOL and trains but never have been able to bring the two together until I downloaded LDD. Let me know what you think of combining both 9v and PF and I'd love some feedback on my MOC in the link below. I went for detail so it turned out to be about to scale so wider and I'm sure taller than the standard size, though still on the Lego standard gauge track. Cheers! https://www.flickr.com/photos/128636628@N08/
  20. With the recent LDD update adding in the Fire Vs Ice Chima parts I was able to update my model of my Skeleton Dragon. Gallery when public (In the gallery is also an armor stand and seat for my minfigure. Also the .lxf file) http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=548886 First My Custom Sigfig Baron Von Brickstein. (I have LDD and IRL pics of him) Just a quick bio of him. He was originally my character in Lego Universe. When it was closing down. He took a fragment of the Imagination Nexus and built a portal out of the game into the Lego World. He then used the fragment to make another Imagination Nexus and built a Skeleton Castle atop a mountain. He then took control of the Ninjago Skeleton Army and the Fantasy Castle Skeleton Army and made them soldiers of good. He wields a battle axe and a armor harness that can sprout dragon wings for flight. His axe and armor harness have slots to plug imagination in them to power them up (Represented by 1x1 trans clear round tiles. Might be changed to the Arkenstone printed ones in the LOTR set The Lonely Mountain) LDD Pics (Have what IRL Colors would be but no printing since it isn't available in LDD) http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=6170230 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=6170231 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=6170232 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=6170233 IRL Pics (Using the same pieces in existing colors. 21. I'm usually a train builder, and this is my first Bionicle MOC since 2009... TAHU - TOA OF FIRE 700 years after the defeat of Makuta, Tahu is still the leader of the Toa Nuva... or what remains of it. Tahu has witnessed the Battera War, where an indescribable army of machines had destroyed half of the Toa that had survived Makuta's reign of Terror before his defeat. He saw Kopaka calmly go to his death at the hands of the Machine army in a battle of mutual self-destruction. Kopaka destroyed the Machines, but Gali never forgave Tahu for not stopping the Toa of Ice from destroying himself in that final battle. He witnessed Gali swim off into the oceans of once what was called Aqua Magna, never to return. Her reason for doing so was revealed to Tahu, but this has never been told to anyone else. He now has bigger things to worry about: someone or something is picking off the Toa Nuva one by one... and he might just be next! SETREX - TOA OF IRON This Toa of Iron was originally a Matoran of Iron who received a strange stone from Kopaka just before he rode off to his doom. When Kopaka died, the stone transformed Setrex into a Toa. With his new-found powers, Setrex set about making his new Kanohi mask, from a chunk of protodermis and a old Iron Wolf skull. He created a new type of Kanohi, one he sort of after Kopaka.. This mask has the power of seeing the unseen, like shielded or invisible objects become visible in slightly hazy form to Setrex. The reason for the Iron Wolf skull was simple: Toa Kopaka was always a kind of Lone Wolf, and his mask of X-Ray vision was the inspiration for the power type. Now he lives on, in a way, in the Kanohi Kopak. The Toa of Iron has now joined forces with the remaining Toa Nuva, (Tahu & Takanuva) and a shadow Toa named Vercaz in search of the being - or beings - who wants the Nuva dead. VERCAZ - TOA OF TWILIGHT Created from a Matoran of Light that had been drained of his light by the Makuta 700+ years ago, Vercaz the shadow matoran was turned into a Toa of Shadow artificially by an unknown process. After the defeat of the Makuta by Mata Nui, the shadow Toa wandered the wastes of Spherus Magna and eventually came to the shrine of the Mask of Life. Touching the mask in a effort to put it on, he was blasted by the Toa of Light, Takanuva. The mask cured his evil-tainted soul, and the Toa restored his light halfway. Now called the Toa of Twilight, Vercaz has turned to the side of good. He has half the powers of a Toa of Shadow and half of a Toa of Light. However, Vercaz still has nightmares about his time as a Toa of Shadow, and he worries about the fine balance he must walk. He has set off on a quest with Takanuva, Tahu Toa of fire, and Setrex, a toa of Iron to find the ones responsible for the deaths of Onua, Pohatu, & Lewa. The whole team, minus Takanuva. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1413469988m.lxf Comments, Questions, & Complaints are all welcome!
  22. What's up Eurobricks! Today I am gonna show you some of micro goodness I made. Let's start with the pics of random Battlemechs, generally inspired by Mad Cat/Timber Wolf. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Here I tried a number of color schemes and got really satisfied with the results. Weapons are general cannons and missile pods. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 2 Loadout 2 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Now here's something different. I have changed the cockpit part and replaced cannons with lasers and missile pod with an artillery. Also cockpit features another laser. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 2 Loadout 3 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr This one has more classic weapon consoles with two miniguns. Shoulders feature a missile pod and something that should resemble a PPC in one of it's iterations. Cockpit has two machine guns. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 4 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr This one is something completely random with paired autocannons and a "hunch"-mounted machine gun. Next in line are two 'Mechs that are vaguely based on the UZL-3S "Uziel". Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 5 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr It's up to you to tell me which one does represent the Uziel better. Now there's two MOCs that are very closely based on 'Mechs. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 1 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Here's HBK-4G, aka Hunchback. Man, I remember playing this sturdy guy in MWO. Good times. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 6 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr And then there's a Vulture, that is known to Battletech fans as Mad Dog. Now onto models that were specifically made with certain 'Mechs in mind. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech 3 - Atlas-style by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Ah. The iconic AS7-D, more widely known as Atlas. Based on this color scheme. Bipedal Mechwarrior-style Mech - Kinda Daishi by The Mugbearer, on Flickr And then there's Daishi/Dire Wolf. Based on this image. Maybe there will be more, I might also consider suggestions from you guys. Enjoy. :)

    Moc-Chopov's Chopper

I'm putting the Moc here since it was build in LDD. If it belongs in the action themes forum please move it. I was bored and felt like building a skeleton motorcycle. So I did. The motorcycle was design specifically to fit a Ninjago Skeleton. It is able to hold a normal minifigure as well. All the parts used should exist IRL so technically a real life version could be built. Anyways here are pics (The silver 1x1 round tile would have had the gauge printing on it http://www.bricklink...sp?P=98138pb010) http://www.brickshel...chopper_001.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_002.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_003.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_004.png
  24. For the story, see the first thread about the War of the Brothers The call for arms and the challenge are open to ALL guilds. PART ONE: A CALL TO ARMS – The Battle of the Wither Woods The battle of the Wither woods is coming. Dugal and Petera both need help to defeat the other. Which side will you choose? These battles will be fought in the same manner as the Battle of Queens Cross and the Battle of Khordeem. Meaning, you sign up your hero or squad, and I try to replicate them and get them into the battle. This Call to Arms is only for the first battle, the Battle of the Wither Woods. When you sign up, state the men you are sending and which brother they are supporting. Remember, Dugal fights for the Historica of present, while Petera fights for the Valkarian Order’s desire for a new stronger Historica. How this works: Basically, the battle will be fought out as a wargame, using rules that my brother and I have been working on for a LONG time. (This is also a playtest for us.) It will take a few days to get all the way through, but should prove to be epic. The plan is simple. The call has gone out by raven , magic and other means to the far ends of Historica. Help is needed at the upcoming battle in the Wither Woods. If you wish to join the battle, send your small troop by mage, boat, or land to either North Avalonia (Petera) or Eastgate (Dugal). Some may make it for the start of the battle, and others might join in the thick of it as reinforcements. Anyone that signs up while the battle is still going, we will try to get into the battle. All we need is a pledge of men (1-10, although 10 may be hard to represent on the battlefield; the ideal number is squads of 5). I will try to represent your figures as closely as possible, but it might be hard to accurately represent some heroes or your actual men’s uniforms. (we can always chalk it up to artist’s interpretation) We will then give your men (or women!) stats and bring them into battle. They will then fight in the battle to see if they can help win it for their side. If your hero or your men are known for a certain weapon style or ability, include it in your pledge. We will try to accommodate this in your character’s stats. You may want to also show us a picture of who you are sending, if you want us to try and replicate them. WARNING: The soldiers you send may die – if you send a hero, you might want to tell us you would prefer they fell wounded or are likely to retreat. It is all luck of the dice (much like the tournaments that have been held) The battle won’t start until Later in May, but I will keep checking the forums for new recruits and can add people all the way until the battle is done. So if you don’t make it before the battle, sign up at any point during the battle. Anyway, I hope some of you will heed one of the brothers calls, and join them to defeat the other. Post below your men and who you are pledging to help. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The contest thread has been moved to here. The text is the same as below though. PART TWO: Bringing the pain We are going to try something new this time around; we are going to have other people “build” weapons of war that will be used in both battles. The builders will build LDD models that we can use the show construction mode on. (Alternatively, a builder could photograph “instructions” to participate in this battle). Then, we will build some of these models for the battles. This is what you have to do: Create a separate thread for your weapon of war, then link it in a post on the registry thread. The title tag for the LDD contest is {WotB} In your thread you should have a completed picture of the siege weapon. You should have the capability to email us the design or “print” it. (Links to this material in your thread are highly appreciated!) You can add story to your weapon (maybe what company / person built it, etc…) You can also tell us what side you hope will use your weapon (Petera or Dugal’s). Is it a one of a kind weapon that has special properties? Or could there be multiple on the battle field? There are two categories, and each builder can enter both up to three times. The first category is Field Pieces. These will be used at the Battle of the Wither Woods. This battle will most likely take place in a lightly wooded area, but overall very few fortifications will be present on the field. The weapons can range from catapult to ballista, from twirling death machine to cow crusher… the limits are endless, other than it really should not be a siege engine. The second category is Siege Engines. These should be the heavy duty battle machines that are designed to take down walls, assault fortresses, and get men in close to fight the enemy. The siege engines will be used later on in the year at the Battle for Eastgate. One caveat -- the portion of the battle portrayed at the end of summer will be an invasion from the sea... So, any siege weapons that fold up nicely, may have the upper hand in the judging. (MAY HAVE) Specifications: Since we are going to try and build these, we are going to set a 400 piece limit. You don’t have to use 400 pieces, you can use fewer. We just won’t be able to build anything larger than 400 pieces. The one thing I do not have in my collection is a lot of technic gears and pieces, staying away from these would increase the chances of seeing your weapon in built form during the battle. However, containing many technic pieces won’t hurt your chance of winning. Just like the call to arms, anybody in the Guilds of Historica can participate. Deadline: Field Pieces: May 15th Siege Engines: September 30th The winner of each category will be forever known as Artillery Captain of Eastgate or Siege Commander of Eastgate
