  1. I never follow Robinson myself, but I found this pretty cool: Question to winner: "What are you going to do with your 500,000 SEK win? - First I'll be traveling with my family, then I'll invest more money in my Lego hobby, says Hasse with a broad smile" Full article here, in Swedish though: http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/tv/d...ticle6521192.ab

Today Green Grocer arrived after Finnish customs has played with it for 1.5 weeks! Also more 9v & 12v tracks is on it way and should arrive tomorrow, along with other misc classic sets. Meaning; A more polished and bigger layout update is to expect the next 1-2 days

Electrifying 7895 - help with the ideas

I guess you could drill a very small hole in the plastic and draw a small wire under the track to the next point?

Thats about right, we are from the beautiful archipelago outside Vaasa. So yes we have spent our weekends building old -80's Lego (and some newer sets that accidentally dropped into the shopping van while shopping) while downing some beers. It's cheaper and more fun that going to the pub anyway... well cheaper so far - but now I have the Green Grocer waiting for me in Vaasa customs office after an order from US, and most likely Cafe Corner, Grand Emporium & Eiffel Tower will be on its way in the months to come as well! And as for your bookshelf collection, you have all the sets we don't have, and I want them all!! :) Edit: Oh btw if you can't build large, why not build up? I just recently watched this small, but big layout of a lego city: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7uUizrHMew

Karjala? Uhmm.. you must see wrong, that is the water tank to the fire station? :) There are even more castle sets as well hidden from view here - but you will see everything soon as we take more photos and make more layouts than the city layout!

    Introducing myself and my city.

As evident from my username's join date I'm pretty new on these forums. I have recently myself come out of the dark ages, and brought some friends along with me out of it :) Anyway, I want to give a short presentation of some upcoming possible town/train layouts. Here are some photos taken from some stuff we just built very fast and put on tables. We don't have any real lamps installed in this room yet, so the pictures are a bit darker than the future pictures will be. The city layout seen in the first picture is already scrapped and we have moved in bigger tables to the room so we are able to get at least 2 x bigger layout. In the new layout we have hastily built we have both 12v & 9v trains running in the city. I will have those pictures uploaded here maybe on Sunday! New pictures: And more photos from the lego we have no layout for yet:

Buy V9 or wait for the new sets?

    Very easy decision: Both! ;)

    2010 Train Sets

My 12V motor from -81 still speeds along like superman without a problem, thats ~30 years and still going strong! I would not worry to much about motors from -91 falling apart already then :) Maybe Lego should build power plant engines instead since they make machines requiring no maintenance for 30 years!

    Pricing of Imperial flagship 10210

All packages must have a price tag on them, if the value of the package is higher than ~45-50 USD, you will get VAT on the full sum of the price = if you get a package worth 40 USD, you get it without VAT, but if you get something worth 50 USD you pay 50 USD + 22% tax. = 61 USD if I remeber right now. Anyway I think correct value limits are found on vero.fi What you can do, is to have the shipper tag the package as less value than it is / mark it as second hand & "gift". It's maybe not entirely legal.... but some seller agrees to put less value on the package than it was bought for ;) However, purchases inside EU is no problem though since there VAT is already paid, so only shipping costs needs to be considered then. Anway - I will indeed buy this set, but I will not buy it via lego.com since its cheaper for me to buy it via USA+post costs, or maybe another EU country, still need to research how to get this item within reasonable price :)

As said before, I am trying to understand why there are so high price differences between country to country, not "random complaining". Please read through the posts completely before judging.

From what I understand, Ireland and Finland is the only 2 countries they are making the "profit" in then, in the other countries its listed at 179 USD, 139,99 £, 159 € (in ger) ;) Why are they not trying to make profit in this countries then? Since it ships from same storage, but with 2 different prices - it makes no sense at all, profit or not.
