You can do anything with epoxy.

You are so right, I bought several Calvary builders and I just thought all of those horses came from other sets. I wish they had put a more generic horse in the Cavalry builder. If Lego Movie has western sets those are a day one buy for me.

Not to rag on the one you Not to rag on that one but this one is soo much better. I love it when folks capture cartoony proportions in lego bricks. This one is just so charming.

Is that assertion based on data? My local Lego store says the stagecoach is the best seller by a long shot.
-
Yeah but soo many other sets have the horse. So many repeats.

The jail was all over the beginning- its been a while for me now, I don't remember the bank. I think the theory about the movie changing after lego started design is probably accurate. Its not kid friendly but I would love to see that brothel rendered. It was just weird and had great details. I am working on a western town and wish I had all of those great props.

So much more original than most of the pirate Mocs. Love the limited color pallet.

The only one that isn't prominent is the stagecoach.

Love the house so much!

Love it. I think the archways in particular are really nice.

Pogie lets see that temple the roof is on top of! Big fan of Greek and Roman Lego and yours is looking excellent.

Awesomely complex! Did you do the software model after you completed the build? -
I think the color palette is another aspect that makes them so tight. The licensed sets seem to always have superior color schemes to the Lego sets from similar eras, ie Pirate vs PoTC, LoTR vs Castle The designer for the train set, Marco Bessa, also the new Ewok Village- he seems quite talented. I have seen some folks complaining about the scale of the stage coach, but I think that particular set is also just beautiful especially when you see how it moves. I wish TLG would do designer videos for some of the Lone Ranger sets, but I think they know this thing is over soon...

LDD MOC: Constitution Train Passenger Car
LayinBricks replied to Gavinfuzzy's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Constitution engine has a black roof, brown windows. That may work better. Buut the cargo car does have a grey and black roof. Interested to see your final! -
I think for themed sets discussion of the movie's performance is pretty relevant. Great news about the Lego Movie sets.
