Atlantis sets already on sale!?!
lumiosa replied to General Armendariz's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Check this post out. It explains how some people already have Atlantis Sets: -
They'll fulfil your every (death)wish... just some fum with the Belville figs...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Unfortunately, no. I spent some time thinking about what I could use for Piccollo, but couldn't come up with anything remotely interesting, so he just went bare headed... By the way, the results just came up and I won this item of the contest. Now I'll try to make some other characters from the show, and also some structures/vehicles. Will keep you informed...

Great rendition, CopMike. Amazing how you could shrink it even more. Glad to be of use with the inspiration

eheh, I'm thirty something , and first watched the anime some 15 odd years ago, when it first showed here in Portugal. The reruns have been airing ever since. Yes, I know LEGO is not really into this kind of theme, but what with the live action movie due this year, heck, why not? It would make for some very nice minifigs, methinks...

This was the last item of MOC building in the contest being held at Fórum 0937. What if LEGO would launch a new theme? We had to build a set that would be part of a new theme. I chose one of my favorite cartoon/anime shows, Dragon Ball. 110 pieces, 3 minifigs (Son Gon-Ku, Piccolo and the Marcial Arts Tournament Host ), a functionality ripped off from Harry Potter, that will send the minifigs flying (though not far ) and some custom stickers. Here's the pics:

Thank you guys. I'll try to be around as often as possible. As for favorite themes, a bit of everything really, but I guess mainly Castle and Town, MOCs of which I'll post soon...

Thanks (and all other comments), but, errrr, it's lumiosa, not luminosa. lumiosa is an acronym for my name, whereas "luminosa" would mean "something female that is bright". ok, sorry for the off-topic... the mini 7627 can be found here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...c=25244&hl= but be aware, the photos are a bit yucky...

I guess that's because TBB had a post about it recently. At least in my case, for I hadn't seen them before. http://www.brothers-brick.com/2009/01/22/r...-m8what-a-pair/ Oops! I apologise for the wrong name. Sorry, Don Solo.

If you read one of my other posts, you should remember that there is a contest going on in Comunidade 0937, where one of the items was to build a miniaturized version of a set. The first miniature I build was of one of my favorite all time sets, 928 - Galaxy Explorer (this is the European reference number. sorry, don't remember the American one, but I guess you'll know what I'm talking about). I didn't quite like the final result, and submitted my mini 7627 instead. Bad choice, some of the forum members said. What about you guys, what do you think? Be blunt, I can handle it

Could be, and really hope so. Last year's 7627 - Temple of Akator had already included one of those spanish helmets too, so we can only hope there'll be new factions in the Pirate theme...
-
Right. Comunidade 0937 has a game going on, and one of the items was to build a miniaturized version of a LEGO set. I chose 7627 - Temple of Akator from IJIV. Apart from the amphibian vehicle, I quite liked the end result. So, here it is. The picture is a bit crappy, I know. Sometime soon I'll buy a new, better camera. Appreciate any comments and criticisms. P.S.: By the way, this is the second version of the car. For some pictures of the first version, and for some pictures of the backside of the temple, go here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=363768

Right, so I'll start showing what I do with a small vignette I did just for the fun of it (hope this is the right place for this one). A few days ago I was browsing the net and I found the cutest little droid by Dan Solo. So I thought I just had to do something with it, and here it is. A little description first, so as to contextualize it. back in Episode IV, when the stormtroopers were looking for C3P0 and R2 in Tatooine, a few mistakes were made and some wrong droids were found: Like I said, this was just for the fun of it, so there aren't many details. Still, I hope you like it

Hello, everyone! I'm Luís, a Portuguese AFOL that's been lurking around here for some time now (a couple of years, I guess), but only registered today. I'm a translator by trade and a LEGO fan by nature (otherwise I wouldn't be here, right?), and I try to build as much as I can (and as much as work, wife and a five year old kid allow me ). I know I'll have fun around here, and I'll try to post as much as I can (or feel like it. working at the PC all day long sometimes makes me run from the desk ) I'll be seeing you guys around. Bye for now
