LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
seahawkeye replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
CMFs are in my local Coles supermarket here in rural Australia (price: $5.25, not terrible) BIG W here has 20% already low prices on all LEGO until 16 August, including most TLNM sets. Help please: does anyone know which shop here in Oz has the retail exclusive Flying Jelly Sub? -
Every living SW fan in this particular galaxy here and now is disappointed about this

At last, a post from an adult. Like an oasis in a desert.

Do you want to have the Movie SET Discussion in the 2017 set discussion thread? No, keep it all here. Movie is just another Ninjago wave. Can't be bothered checking two forums instead of one, and non-movie will go quiet for 6 months anyway. -

Idea I'll be making at some point: Tony Stark head & hair on the Lobster-Lovin' Batman, in his Malibu Mansion -

I'm a Marvel fan with little interest in DC properties, but The Lego Batman Movie looks sensational and these CMFs are incredible. Great work, Lego Group. I'll be buying them just cos they're beautiful. How I wish they were Marvel figures ... -

Security Guard in Mr Freeze set seems to be based on someone specific. (thanks to just2good for the image on the left) -

Lego Ninjago 2016

I bought the Raid Zeppelin on the weekend & it's bloody fantastic. Great minifigs, great building experience (for me & the kids), and wonderfully swooshable. Can't wait for the Lighthouse Siege (and hope I can resist Tiger Widow Island in the meantime). I love Ninjago. Just love it. -

The store catalogue lists Alien Conquest and Cars 2 as the 'brand new playthemes' coming out in May, as well as new products in City, Kingdoms, Creator 'and more'. There's NO WAY that PotC could be the 'and more', so I reckon it's safe to assume that 16 April release date is correct. Now just wish Barnes & Noble would update their pre-order release date ... -
Signed. Love my Brickbeard's Bounty more than any other set. Want more Pirates, dammit.

A brief tale of positive opportunism Last Friday morning I rang around Melbourne Big W stores looking for 8092 Luke's Landspeeder. Only store with any on our side of town was Ballarat, about 45 mins from where we live. It wasn't our plan for the day but the whole family felt okay with the adventure, so off we went (me, wife, 2 kids). We get there, my 6 year-old grabs the Landspeeder off the shelf and all is good in the world. But I think why not have a glance across the shelves, just in case. And there, down on floor level, are 3 Galactic Enforcers going for $67 each. They were all taped up, and one had a particularly damaged box. I picked out the heaviest one. It turned out to be totally complete and in perfect condition. My best bargain in years. My 6 year-old is going to have an awesome birthday. -
An appalling decision by Lego. Pathetic. Viva la pirates.
