Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

I have but one nitpick and then I will refrain from complaining because this set looks glorious. But after all these years they couldn't mold Gandalf a hat/hair combo. Still using that same 30-year-old Majisto hat?
  2. A pic of the whole series is on Instagram now. Oops, y’all beat me to it :)

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I found somewhat of a solution for this. I had some spare technic half pins that I plugged into the holes on the branches. The flower stems hold on better in the pins. Not a perfect solution since I only had them in blue, but it’s better than the stems constantly falling off.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I’m happy to report a successful trip to my LEGO Store. I picked up the entire line including the Hogwarts Express and the BrickHeadz. They only had 3 each of the Hermione and Ron/Dumbledore BrickHeadz but I was lucky enough to snag one. The manager randomly asked if I cared about the condition of the box for the Hogwarts Express. When I said no, he offered me 100 extra VIP points to exchange my pristine box for a slightly dented one. I jumped on at that opportunity!

I will be going to my LEGO store, so I’ll gladly report my findings. Planning on getting there early in case there’s a line.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I sold all my older 2001-era Harry Potter sets (except The Final Challenge because it helped bring me out of my dark age) to buy the 2010 sets and I never regretted it. But then I didn’t care for the floor-pillars-roof kind of empty designs of the original sets, so the 2010 sets were infinitely better in my opinion. I considered selling those for this new line but decided against it in the end. Those sets are still great and had some awesome minifigs like Bellatrix.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

I understand that the Elder wand should be important enough to get its own mold, but for all intents and purposes Dumbledore's wand is the Elder wand. It's been his wand since he defeated Grindelwald. There's nothing to suggest he ever carried a spare non Elder wand, at least not that I recall. I'm actually curious now if Gambon's Dumbledore had the same wand prop through all the movies he appeared in or if they changed it later when it became important to the story.

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

We actually get 3 of the 7 horcruxes: Tom Riddle's Diary, Nagini, and Harry himself. As for the Deathly Hallows: we get the Elder wand with Dumbledore and Harry's invisibility cloak.
