[MOC] [INSTRUCTIONS] Imperial TIE Fighter
Swan Dutchman replied to DarthMario's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice TIE Fighter! Anyway, I am this 'guy' Rubblemaker keeps going on about and reading this discussion was quite amusing. Anyway, what really happened is this: some people thought I made copies of Jerac's models which I didn't. And only the X-wing was available as a free download for a short period of time. Those who have my version and purchased Jerac's version must notice it's a completely different build even though it might appear to look the same (well, yeah, it's an x-wing). And yes, I did take it down on request by brickvault. Why? Because I was tired of getting accused all the time... and apparently I still am getting accused after almost 2 years. It made me leave the Eurobricks community. And please don't believe a word about brickvault or other parties taking legal action against you. Unless BrickVault has a license to sell instructions based on IPs like Star Wars they themselves and their builders can be sued by the IP-holder (which is Disney). -

[MOC] The apex of my 40 year journey to perfect the Lego T-65B X-Wing
Swan Dutchman replied to markhchan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great explanation about the wobbling! I would like to add a few pointers I used in my model: 1) Not sure what you mean here. Do you mean the movement of the axles caused by pressure on the gears? I solved that in my model by adding a 'stabilizer' that connects the point where all 4 axles come together inside the gear 'box'. That way the the pressure on the gears has no effect on the wobbling. 3) In my model I reduced this effect significantly by using bigger gears vertically. I used the 20 tooth part instead of the 12 tooth part. -

[MOC] The Fireball and the Aces from Star Wars: Resistance
Swan Dutchman replied to Lamborghini Waffle Sauce's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh wow! I have just seen small fragments of the show, but these ships seem to be spot on! And even if they are not, I still think they look amazing. You did a splendid job on all six. My favourites? I would say the green en the red-white ones. -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Swan Dutchman replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I tried it yesterday evening and today and both times I just get the OOPS-message. Apparantly not everyone is affected because for 1 part I could only select seven this morning, while the evening before I could select a lot more. It's a real shame since there so many nice parts in the inventory. The most frustrating is that it takes a lot of time entering all parts and not being able to save it. -
