    [MOC] Dragoon Gunship

Thank you for the comments, everyone! The planets are basically stuck onto a long technic axle.

    [MOC] Dragoon Gunship

The Dragoon Gunship is an elegant vessel used to patrol the expansive Royal Dominion ruled by His Majesty Gorvenal IV. The ship is armed with a pair of 8-pounder long guns and a pair of repeating rifles. Thank you for looking!

    What is this?

Was it just that one part that had something in the hole? What else was sketchy about the set?

    [MOC] Viking Ship Dreki

Thanks! Dreki was my first time making sails. It was a fun experience.

    [MOC] Viking Ship Dreki

Yes they are official Viking shields! I bought that old ship when it was released, and it's where a lot of the crew for Dreki came from.

    [MOC] Viking Ship Dreki

Thank you Captain Becker! Dreki might be a little narrow, but in order to fix that, I think I would have add an outward curve to the sides of the ship, since right now the middle section is straight. However, doing that might be a little bit out of my building ability

    [MOC] Viking Ship Dreki

Thank you all for the comments! Thanks, Captain Green Hair. For my own information, are there any major inaccuracies that you see? I did some research while building, but I'm curious if I missed something obvious. Thanks for the mention on your blog, I appreciate it!
  8. Greetings! I usually build military or sci-fi models, but I thought that my old Viking minifigs could do with a proper ship. Hence I built "Dreki". "Dreki" is Old Norse for Dragon. Afrika Korps Vehicles

Thank you, I've certainly thought about doing a Tiger. Perhaps in the future... I'll need some more parts first Thank you, I hope that you do, these models were fun to build!

    Preventing Figure Crack?

I don't think there is any way to prevent it. I've found many of my newer figures, and for that matter, other pieces such as cheese slopes developing hairline cracks. These cracked pieces are fresh out of sealed sets, and haven't been heavily used or abused. I believe it's a sign of decreasing quality control on Lego's end.

  13. Greetings, Today, I'd like to share my Afrika Korps vehicles that I've built over the last few months. I usually build sci-fi or modern military, so it was a nice change to build historical models. I had fun researching each vehicle, and it allowed me to use a lot of my tan parts, possibly my favorite Lego color. The first vehicle I built was a Panzer II Ausf C. It was used for mainly for reconnaissance roles. Panzer II Ausf C - DAK by Tyler, on Flickr I next built a Stug 3 Ausf F/8, which featured a long barreled gun, and excelled as a tank destroyer. Stug III Ausf F/8 - DAK by Tyler, on Flickr For some extra fire power, I built a 10.5 cm leFH 18, which was the standard German light howitzer used during WWII. The legs can be folded inwards to allow a bracket to be attached for towing. 10.5 leFH 18 - DAK by Tyler, on Flickr Finally, an Opel-Blitz; which was used throughout the war. Using left-over fabric from another one of my Lego projects I was able to make the cloth covering for the cargo hold. [MOC] Tiger 1 Tank

I can't put my finger on why, but your model has a bit of a sci-fi look to it. It must be the sleekness of it .

    The Convention - Conclusion

Thanks for hosting JackJonespaw! The game was a lot of fun, and I'm glad to see that the town won . The mechanic of only being able to privately talk within your own family was interesting. Granted for me, it meant that I could only talk to one person who also happened to be an Ultimatio. I think it would be a neat idea for a larger game.
