    [REVIEW] 6245 - Harbor Sentry

The whole set is like, "Don't laugh, the boat's firepower is comparable to the Renegade Runner!"

The brick bounty has a lot of problems at the moment. Might be best to wait until Lego can fix it.

Add some light to Pirate sets!

That monkey is at least 5 times as cool as I will ever be.

    Elves 2015

The Brick Bounty thirsts for blood, and the lack of other available ships sailing the lego seas these days has left my scurvy dogs setting their sights squarely on Naida's adventure ship. Undergunned ships always make the best prizes! Sorry, ladies.

Are Lego Pirate the worst sailors of all time?

It's because their ships always go into battle with only enough cannons for half the hatches and sometimes they can't even shoot.

VIDEO Review: 70411 Treasure Island - AWESOME!

I'm sorry, perhaps I worded that poorly. I mean that "handle" piece that the chain passes through. It seems like it would pop right off if enough weight was put on it. There's a lot of bricks in the skull.

Yeah. You definitely get the impression that they phoned it in with this line. Just compare the ship to the last one. So similar, right down to the name. And hardly any advertising or announcements, it's like they sent the set out to die.

Can that piece the chain passes through really support the weight of the skull without falling off when you try to raise it by moving the tree back? Seems a bit flimsy.

You think buying from Lego.com directly and by extension giving them fatter profit margins (no middle man wholesale price) is the best way to support the brand? I want more Pirate ships...

The pirate sets are selling well at my local walmart. They were completely cleaned out sans for the two smallest pirated themed non-imperial focused sets.

Everyone here should contact Lego about this and let them know. Even if you plan to "settle" and live with the defect without expectation of a replacement. They need to know this isn't acceptable and the more voice is heard the better.

Is that a Flying Dutchman I see?!

I get that feeling too. I could just kick myself for missing that wave too. The new ship feels like a slightly watered down version of the last ship with a less appealing colorscheme and a missing aft hull piece for cut cost savings. It's even missing a door! Oh to have gotten that BBB instead. And that Imperial Flashship? Oh my god. I'd have to sell me gold tooth for one of those now!!

    Review: 70413 The Brick Bounty

They probably aren't going to go through the trouble of "fixing" the set and redoing all molds and everything sadly. I was surprised reading the review that the set is actually less than half the cost of the Barracuda when you account for inflation and the stern hull piece was changed altogether just to cut costs. This isn't the sort of thinking that lends towards sparing no expense towards maximizing quality for us enthusiasts. Just look at the skulls on the sails. The set's intended more for kids, and most of us didn't even notice the hull defect until it was pointed out to us. File this one under "good enough".

Lego really dropped the ball with this set.
