I am a huge fan of Ninjago. I also like Chima, Superheroes, Harry Potter and Collectible Minifigures. I also like to animate with Lego and I play video games.

  1. Chris and Martin, eh? Someone on the design team is a Coldplay fan it seems ;). We've been waiting to see this set for so long and I, for one, am not disappointed. I never thought we'd see Lloyd and Nya in their Airjitzu forms, they look beautiful, Nya especially. The bird printing looks absolutely marvellous. I am very pleased to see that Airjitzu hasn't been forgotten and the arena is a beautiful hark back to the days of old Ninjago. The battle pack looks Marvellous too. All exclusive figures. Tournament Zane is a very pleasant surprise and the Samurai X figure is gorgeous, possibly my favourite yet. I don't normally find them in Australia, but I may have to try and source it some other way. I'm a little disappointed that we aren't seeing that new Skylor figure yet, but there's still hope I suppose.
  2. The whole 'circle closing' may also have something to do with imbalance with the realms. The Cursed Realm being destroyed caused Djiinjago to fall. Maybe Djiinjago falling means another realm will fall and it could be a domino effect. Perhaps closing the circle means restoring whatever balance is causing the realms to collapse. Just a theory.
  3. Those that complain that the lighthouse is inaccurate are asking for a set that contains a bland grey tower, the interior of which comprises primarily of a staircase. There are some things that fit the show and don't translate so well with the sets. The lighthouse set we have has colour and looks interesting. I'd say that there are a lot of children who collect Ninjago but don't watch the show, so a set that looks accurate to the dark gritty tower in the show is only going to appeal to one half of the market. Having an interesting looking tower that is directly based on a scene from the show, even including never before seen characters while also having the Ninjago charm we know and love will appeal to the vast majority of the market. I can understand wanting the sets to be accurate to the show, because I love the show too. But the sets are a totally different medium to the show. They always have been. There are aspects of the show that inspires the sets and vice versa. Phew. Well these sets are much better than I expected. The Stealth Raider is a personal favourite, with the Lighthouse and Zane's Tumbler following suit. There isn't a set I don't like and I'm really looking forward to seeing the last two. The figures are very nice, the new suits look very cool. I love the combination of the 2011 suits and the ZX suits. It looks like Ronin has a new torso print too, which is good and it's nice to be getting his hair, a piece that I lack at the moment. It's interesting to note that Cole isn't a ghost in any of the 'Rise of the Villains' sets...
  4. Purple ninja or not, I hope this new wheelchair mold means a non-possessed Cyrus Borg appearing somewhere. The last hope for him to appear in this wave is in the Airjitzu temple grounds, as we know next to nothing about it and what it includes. Also, I may be wrong, but the Kryptarium set looks like it comes with Zane in a prison outfit and with no mask. So even if the Echo Zane figure has copper hair, there's still hope for Zane's silver hair.
  5.
Episode 62 was fantastic! Ive been loving the little throwbacks in this season, but I never thought we'd see Dr Julien's lighthouse again. The Echo-Zane gave me a fright the first time he popped up! I really loved the Echo-Zane and I think the interactions between him and the tea robot were humorous and very adorable. It'd be funny to see if Zane and the Echo-Zane ever meet up and see how the interaction would be. I really loved the development between Jay and Nya. Nya wanting to decide her own destiny and rid herself of any 'titles' is being handled well, I think. Nya's new suit finally appears too and it looks fantastic. May I also point out how incredible the animation looks when Jay and Nya rise out of the ocean near the end. It almost looked real. All this is certainly leading to an epic finale. I can't help but think the whole 'Nadakhan wanting to marry Nya' plot point is very similar to the 'Sir Fangar wants to marry Li 'Ella' thing from Legends of Chima. I think Nadakhan has more reason than Sir Fangar did though! I also hope that the others escape the blade soon. I imagine that'll happen in episode 63.
6.
I'd just like to note that they could just wish for A: That any Tiger Widow that ever exists in Ninjago from the moment this wish is made onwards is nice to and likes all sapient species except djinns and B: That Tiger Widows are so common, that flying and swimming variations with the same venom exist and number in the thousands. Five seconds later, you'd have Nadakhan depowered and eaten alive by spiders.
I think that your second option could cause a lot of trouble for the mortals on Ninjago. If only one drop of venom could kill them, I imagine having Tiger Widows everywhere would put everyone at risk :P
I think it was kinda unnecessary for Lloyd to only save Nya and Jay, leaving Cole with him. I know his argument was that they had both made their three wishes, but by my count, which could be wrong, Nya made three wishes as well. I must say the Water-Lightning Dragon was pretty cool. It was a bit of a shame to see Jay throw his eyepatch away so soon. I guess I'm a little relieved he didn't keep though.
These are potential spoilers for episode 63.
So the description for episode 63 says that 'the last remaining ninja (Jay :P) gets help from old allies to help him stop Nadakhan's ceremonial wedding from taking place.' I was thinking about who the 'old allies' are and I really hope it's the elemental masters from the Tournament of Elements. That would be quite the battle.
7.
I was thinking about how Zane would deal with Nadakhan when they inevitably met. I think he handled it well, I was rather hoping he would let PIXAL be more involved with the process though. I don't think PIXAL is gone for good, I imagine that she will return when Zane escapes the sword. I rather liked that Nadakhan and Zane played chess throughout the ordeal. It really set the scene that two smart personalities were going head to head. Another little grievance of mine, which Mandate mentioned, was that the others sent Jay alone to face a giant spider that has venom that could kill him with a single drop. Sure they have a right to be mad at him for withholding that information, but that is just awful. Even as Jay mentioned, Nadakhan could of come and made him use his last wish. I think Cole was especially out of line too. Granted he was right to share the Jay and Nadakhan business, but did he really have to tell Nya about what Jay saw in the tomb? That was something Jay wanted to keep private and Jay refrained from telling Cole because he didn't want to hurt his feelings. Then Cole stabs Jay in the back first chance he gets. It's also pretty interesting that Lloyd refers to his mother by her actual name. Despite all of this, the episode was quite entertaining. My previous theory was confirmed, the bounty isn't destroyed (phew). Looking forward to the next episode.
8.
P.S. Did anyone else notice Garmatron in the junk yard were the Bounty was kept.
Yes i did! I thought I was crazy when I thought I saw it. Doesn't make sense since it was destroyed but it's a nice little throwback decoration for the junk yard. I feel like this season is one great big throwback to the fans. I've been so overjoyed by some of the little mentions to past seasons. Even so much as the same office that was attacked by Captain Soto in the second season being attacked by the sky pirates! Anywho,
I'm not sure if this has been speculated before, but I'm thinking that, in the scene at the end of the last episode where the junkyard has a large crater in it, maybe a section of Ninjago has been lifted into the sky. Wasn't that mentioned as Nadakhan's end goal, to turn Ninjago into the new Djiinjago? Perhaps that's what's happened. I'm imagining it'll be explained in the next episode. Hopefully that means the Bounty hasn't been destroyed again, for like the fourth time!
9.

Soto's hinting made it blatantly obvious there would be a plot twist regarding Nya I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet. "Delarah" (something tells me I've got her name horribly wrong), who I'm almost certain is Nya's mother. I'll wait before I get too carried away with this idea, but it certainly will explain a lot. I'm curious as to whether or not "Delarah" will turn out to be Cyren, their faces share some similarities (which all female minifigures do) and Cyren hasn't appeared just yet.

I heavily doubt Delarah is Nya's mother, great grandmother maybe. It said in Ep 55 that Captain Soto defeated Nadakhan and in the second season it said that Captain Soto originally perished 200 years before the ninja's time. Nadakhan can't have loved Delarah after he was trapped in the teapot. This new episode really opens up a potential issue for the ninja to worry about, possibly in the next season. I imagine this season they will deal with Nadakhan and his ragtag crew and then turn their attention to the realms falling like dominos in the next. It really shows how dark the show is getting when we bear witness to, not one, but two realms falling and leaving the deaths of many seen and unseen characters to the imagination. It's a shame I had the 'Nya resembles Nadakhan's lost love' plot point spoiled for me just a couple of days ago. Would've added more shock to that little twist. But this season has definitely got me interested, maybe more so than previous seasons have by the third episode. Very interested to see how it all goes as the season goes on. I must also say, Flintlocke sounds too much like Mother Doomsday!
10. I personally agree with both of you. I think it's very plausible that Ronin is/was a member of the Pirates, but we shouldn't be so quick to come to a conclusion based on a figure design. Mandate brought up the example of Ash's belt. I seem to remember a large tussle about Ash being a servant of the Overlord, or something, because they shared a symbol. It was just a design on a figure. It's possible and I'm prepared to accept a humble 'I told you so' if it is true, but there isn't definitive evidence at the moment.
  11. I don't think we should be so quick to conclude that Dogshank is female. These descriptions have been incorrect in the past. For example's sake, this is an extract from the Jay Walker One description: 'Capture ghost discs fired from the haunted gateway and shoot them back at Blade Master Bansha and his Ghost Warriors.' As you can see, it describes Bansha as male when she is portrayed as female in the show and on her figure. I'm definitely open to the possibility that Dogshank could be female, but I think we should take it with a pinch of salt. Sorry to be a downer!
  12. I have had the same suspicion with Ronin's possible involvement with these pirates, like say maybe he used to be a member of their crew or something. It's not like he holds much in the way of backstory at the moment.
I saw this one guy on Deviantart who said Cryptor is one of the prisoners in Kryptarium. I rewatched that part, and to my surprise the nindroid fighting Zane had the same grunts as Cryptor! It would also make sense because Zane says to him "I'm not an outdated relic anymore". Why would he say that to a regular nindroid, when it was Cryptor who beat him like 3 times? And did anyone else see how Zane "beat him"? He flipped him over by his leg and he goes off screen. What I think actually happened is that Cryptor himself did most of the flipping if you look closely. He flipped away. Zane is apparently going to Kryptarium prison in the 2nd or 3rd episode this season. Fingers crossed he appears
While this is a cool theory, I seem to remember Cryptor exploding at the end of season 3. I could be wrong though.
